Background / History

Xiao Wu first encounters Han Xing at Notting Academy after noticing him staring at her. Sensitive to others’ gazes due to her identity as a hundred-thousand-year spirit beast, she confronts him and challenges him to a fight. Tang San accompanies her to the training grounds. 3

At the time, Xiao Wu is still a level 10 Spirit Apprentice without a soul ring. She asks Han Xing not to use spirit abilities, then attempts to force him into close combat. Han Xing instead keeps his distance with Sun True Fire and defeats her after she is burned and knocked unconscious. 4 5

After obtaining her first soul ring, Xiao Wu gathers the work-study students behind her and challenges Han Xing again. Confident that she has closed their spirit-power gap, she publicizes the rematch and enters the arena with a century-old soul ring. Han Xing counters her Waist Bow by seizing her legs and using fire to disrupt her soul-power circulation, then overwhelms her with Flame Feathers. 6 7 8

Years later, Xiao Wu remains hostile toward Han Xing and seeks another duel immediately after learning he has returned to Blue Tyrant Academy. Despite possessing three soul rings, she is decisively defeated by Han Xing’s enhanced ten-thousand-year-ring abilities; she uses Teleport to escape one attack but is ultimately incapacitated.
