Background / History

Snow Empress is an elemental spirit born in the Far North and the leader of its Three Heavenly Kings. Centuries of witnessing humans kill soul beasts for rings and bones leave her deeply distrustful of humanity. She regards human claims of coexistence as hollow when they are not accompanied by protection or restraint 96 99.

After giving up her cultivation to return to her original form, she is sealed inside the God Sealing Platform, a Level 9 Soul Tool. The platform and embryo become the Starlight Auction House’s final auction lot, purchased by Jing Hongchen for 150 million Gold Soul Coins. Xiao Hongchen intends to restore her as a guardian rather than consume her as a soul ring or second martial soul 64 65 66 98.

At Mingde Hall, Xiao identifies her and persuades Jing to loosen the seal. She immediately attacks, but Xiao prevents Jing from destroying her spiritual form and proposes a contract. The agreement secures her release and access to Myriad-Year Profound Ice Marrow in return for one hundred years of protection 96 97 98.

Her reserve does not prevent practical cooperation or gratitude. She protects Xiao from dangerous cold, acknowledges him as a benefactor after he saves her, and gradually accepts him as a friend.
