"Di Tian, I know what you're thinking. You want Little Phoenix and Gu Yuena to be together, so they can give birth to a being like the Dragon Phoenix. I know what you're thinking. After all, if a beast clan with powerful bloodlines stood on your side, it would surely help you overthrow the Divine Realm sooner.
"I can understand your point. The Divine Realm has oppressed you for many years. You were once a God-level powerhouse, but because of the Divine Realm, you fell from that level. The beast clans have also been suppressed and can't become gods. If things continue like this, the Soul Beasts will eventually go extinct. I can understand that, too.
"But the problem is, Little Phoenix is only a three-year-old child. At the very least, you should wait until my disciple grows up—until she's eighteen—before bringing this up."
Medicine Elder had directly laid bare what Di Tian and the others were thinking. They hoped to see a child born from the union of a phoenix and a dragon, one who might help them overthrow the Divine Realm sooner. Medicine Elder also thought that if the bloodline of the Heavenly Demon Phoenix were combined with the bloodline of the dragons in the Douluo World, it should produce an exceptional bloodline.
Medicine Elder agreed with that much. With the Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline as a foundation, the result surely wouldn't be bad.
What the old man hadn't said was that, in his eyes, the dragons of the Douluo World were simply too weak. They couldn't even compare to the Ancient Void Dragon, or even to the mixed-blood Magical Beasts that carried Ancient Void Dragon blood.
He wasn't joking.
This was what Medicine Elder considered the most accurate assessment. He had met the Silver Dragon King and understood her true strength. At most, she was a Dou Zong.
She was nowhere near the level of a Dou Zun.
In Medicine Elder's world, as long as the Heavenly Demon Phoenix trained diligently, she would definitely reach the level of a Dou Zun.
Even if she didn't train especially hard, she could still reach the level of a Dou Zong with ease—in other words, the level of a God King.
So, in Medicine Elder's eyes, the Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline was definitely stronger than the bloodline of the dragons in the Douluo World. After all, the dragons there were far too pathetic. The Dragon God could at most have been a half-step Dou Zun, or a quasi-Dou Zun.
Thus, Medicine Elder believed that if the Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline and the Douluo dragons' bloodline were combined, the Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline would have the greater advantage. If they had a child, there was a good chance the child would primarily inherit the Heavenly Demon Phoenix bloodline.
He didn't say any of that, though. In the eyes of Di Tian and the other dragons, the power of dragons was the most exalted thing of all. Being told that a more exalted species existed—the descendants of phoenixes from another world—would be pretty heartbreaking.
Besides, Medicine Elder could tell from the very first day that they wanted to hurry and raise an exceptional child with an exceptional bloodline. But the problem was, the Phoenix King was only three!
The Phoenix King hadn't come of age yet. He was still just a three-year-old child, a child who hadn't grown up, whose mind hadn't matured. No, wait! His mind had probably already matured!
But the important thing was that the Phoenix King hadn't come of age. He was still a child. In Medicine Elder's eyes, this sort of behavior was somewhat immoral.
So, at the very least, they should wait until the Phoenix King grew up—at least until he was eighteen—before having him and Gu Yuena have a child. That would be the best choice.
"But, Elder Medicine, we're beast clans, and we don't think the same way you do. Besides, isn't the Phoenix King Consort the one who benefits from this? ...Mm..."
Before Di Tian could finish speaking, Medicine Elder covered his mouth. Medicine Elder still wanted the Phoenix King to grow up healthy. At this age, he shouldn't be exposed to things he wasn't ready to learn about.
In Medicine Elder's eyes, although the Phoenix King seemed a little mature in his thoughts, he was still a child at heart, and he acted like one. So Medicine Elder didn't want him exposed to unnecessary knowledge at this stage.
Lake of Life.
"Consort!" Xn
After the Phoenix King, Medicine Elder, and Di Tian left the room where the Phoenix King had been cultivating, they came outside. This was the central region of the Lake of Life.
"Medicine Elder, I want to eat some pills. Could you refine some more for me?"
The Auspicious Beast came over just then. Ever since Medicine Elder had arrived, it had become obsessed with pills and loved eating them, so it hoped he could refine some regularly.
"Don't worry. You're the Auspicious Beast who represents the fortunes of the Soul Beasts, and you're the most capable one among us. Naturally, I'll give you the best pills."
That was what Medicine Elder said. Then, a silver-haired beauty with violet eyes appeared nearby. She was Gu Yuena, the heroine of Legend of the Dragon King, the third installment of Douluo Continent.
It was the first time the Phoenix King had seen Gu Yuena in human form. He had to admit, she really was beautiful—gorgeous, even. No wonder she was known as the most beautiful woman on Douluo Continent. Even after becoming the God of Life, she was still one of the most beautiful.
Unfortunately, there was one problem: Gu Yuena was love-struck, and her intelligence really was questionable.
She had already had victory in her grasp back then and could have ruled the entire Douluo World. Yet what did she do? She chose her lover instead... It was utterly ridiculous.
"Little Phoenix!" When Gu Yuena saw the Phoenix King, she came straight over and hugged him.
"Grow up quickly, okay? When you're older, Big Sister will give you some plump little dragons."
That was what Gu Yuena said. Medicine Elder stood nearby, listening, and didn't know what to say. He was still recovering, while Gu Yuena was almost back to her full strength. Her cultivation was at least at the Dou Zong level, but her combat ability... was worse than that of an ordinary Dou Zong.
After all, the Cultivation Methods and Combat Skills of the Dou Qi Continent didn't exist on Douluo Continent. Gu Yuena's combat techniques and abilities had all been inherited from the Dragon God.
Medicine Elder didn't know the Dragon God's overall combat strength, but the fact that a group of Dou Zongs had managed to split him apart showed that he could at most have been a quasi-Dou Zun, or perhaps only a half-step Dou Zun. Overall, he was still within the Dou Zong range.
Medicine Elder was a little curious, though. What sort of being was the Golden Dragon King? If the Silver Dragon King represented the elements and spiritual power, did the Golden Dragon King represent strength and time?
But Medicine Elder didn't ask. What he needed to do now was help the Soul Beasts. They were already in this together, like grasshoppers tied to the same string. And besides, no matter what, Gu Yuena was his disciple's future wife, so he had to help them for his disciple's sake.
It would also help him win over some subordinates, which would make things more convenient later.
There was no way to return to the Dou Qi Continent for now, so this was all he could do.
"All right, everyone. Have you been able to sense Battle Qi lately?"
Medicine Elder asked.
