| Rakshasa godhood trials — ongoing | 13 21 | Pursues the Rakshasa God position without a High Priest’s guidance, making the inheritance slower and leaving her dependent on her own understanding. |
| Improved cultivation method and correction of her cultivation path | 24 | As an established Titled Douluo, receives a superior foundational technique developed by Xiao Wuji. His Nine Yang internal energy begins correcting the imbalance in her Rakshasa cultivation; no numbered breakthrough or completed godhood is shown. |
Background / History
Bibi Dong becomes Pope of Spirit Hall while harboring the ambition to unify the continent. She also pursues the Rakshasa inheritance, but lacks the High Priest who would normally guide a successor through the process 13 14.
Her recollections connect Qian Xunji’s death to the conflict surrounding A Yin and Tang Hao. She privately describes the incident as “one beast eliminates three evils”: A Yin herself, Tang Hao as a dangerous future opponent, and Qian Xunji, whom the incident gave her an opportunity to kill 20.
Xiao Wuji changes her decisions by sending her Rakshasa Reborn, Bibi Dong. She treats its account of a disastrous future and subsequent rebirth as privileged guidance, unaware that its author is the child she will soon accept as her disciple 13 15 18.
Appearance
Bibi Dong has fair, jade-like skin, near-perfect features, long thick hair, phoenix-shaped eyes, and a slender waist. Her formal presence carries a noble, sacred aura 13 18 24.
- Papal attire: Luxurious black robes embroidered with gold patterns and a Nine-Curve Purple Gold Crown 18.
- Scepter: Approximately two meters long and inlaid with numerous gemstones 18.
- Private attire: Purple silk nightwear and a dark-purple silk dress 14 18.
- Distinctive fragrance: Described as neither orchid nor musk, subtle but lingering 18.
Personality
Bibi Dong is ambitious and highly invested in the future of Spirit Hall. Her desire to unify the continent initially dominates the future portrayed in Xiao Wuji’s novel, where she dismisses strategic objections. Reading that account makes her reconsider the consequences of neglecting capable subordinates and allowing internal opposition to benefit her enemies 14 19.
The novel’s portrayal of Xiao Wuji dying for her strongly affects her treatment of the real child. She becomes attentive to his safety, personally teaches him, guards him during spirit-bone fusion, and seeks unusually valuable resources for his cultivation. She even avoids dressing him in white because the book repeatedly depicts his white robes soaked in blood 18 20.
She is willing to delay immediate revenge for a larger strategic advantage. Although she learns Tang San’s location, she decides against killing him: another divine successor could replace him, costing her useful foreknowledge, while the God Realm would remain the underlying threat 21.
Abilities & Skills
Spirit Power and Cultivation Knowledge
- Possesses the deep spirit power of a Titled Douluo 24.
- Teaches meditation, spirit-beast knowledge, and Spirit Hall’s more advanced cultivation methods 18 24.
- Supplies the practical cultivation experience Xiao Wuji lacks, helping him better understand his Nine Yang Manual 24.
- Recognizes the mental-control potential of Xiao Wuji’s newly acquired spirit-bone skill, including its effectiveness against Spirit Emperors with insufficient mental strength 20.
Rakshasa Inheritance
- Has inherited the Rakshasa God’s legacy but has not completed her ascension in the main storyline 13 24.
- Understands that Rakshasa governs hateful slaughter arising from evil and resentment, whereas Asura governs killing intent more broadly 13.
- Identifies the Asura God’s aura as the Rakshasa God’s natural nemesis, more threatening than suppression from the Light God 13.
- Her unguided cultivation has gone astray; continuing unchanged would drastically alter her temperament and turn her into a demonic figure 24.
Improved Internal-Energy Cultivation
- Receives a technique Xiao Wuji synthesizes from meditation and his understanding of the Nine Yang Manual 24.
- Practices with his assistance, benefiting from the harmony of yin and yang in his internal energy 24.
- The correction is incomplete: his novice-level energy is small compared with her accumulated spirit power 24.
- Releases cold, sinister energy during practice, forcing his hands away; he subsequently refines that energy for his own cultivation 24.
Political and Resource Planning
- Uses her authority, alongside Qian Daoliu’s intervention, to obtain the Spirit-Condensing Wisdom Skull despite Elder Council objections 19.
- Plans resource acquisition around Tang Hao’s departure to avoid interference during a spirit beast’s Sacrifice 21.
- Plans to promote Su Yuntao and acquire Tang San’s workplace, making his refined iron serve Spirit Hall’s weapon production 21.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Gem-inlaid scepter — Carried during her formal meeting with Xiao Wuji 18.
- Nine-Curve Purple Gold Crown — Part of her papal regalia 18.
- Rakshasa Reborn, Bibi Dong — Xiao Wuji’s personalized novel, which she regards as a secret Divine Book of Rebirth and repeatedly rereads 13 18 20.
- Spirit tool — Used to store personal belongings during the journey from Spirit City 24.
- Spirit-Condensing Wisdom Skull — A spirit bone over fifty thousand years old that she obtains and gives to Xiao Wuji rather than retaining herself 19 20.
Relationships
- Xiao Wuji — Disciple and, unknown to her, author of her supposed rebirth guidance. She accepts him after recognizing the Heavenly Sword, invests heavily in his development, and later benefits from his cultivation assistance 18 20 24.
- Qian Renxue — Daughter. Their estrangement appears as an inner demon in Qian Daoliu’s novel; his proposed plan uses Xiao Wuji as a bridge to repair their relationship 12 13.
- Qian Daoliu — Spirit Hall’s High Priest. He expects direct guidance to Bibi Dong to backfire, but supports Xiao Wuji’s placement under her and helps secure his spirit bone 13 19.
- Hu Liena — Another disciple and the intended recipient of the Wisdom Skull before Xiao Wuji’s arrival. Bibi Dong is distressed by the novel’s depiction of Hu Liena aiding Tang San and dying 15 19.
- Tang San — Foretold enemy. She plans to exploit his known circumstances rather than kill him immediately and risk facing an unknown divine successor 21.
- Tang Hao — Potential obstacle to acquiring A Yin’s spirit bone and the Blue Silver King’s ring. She prefers to avoid confronting him while undergoing divine trials 20 21.
- Qian Xunji — She recalls killing him after the incident involving A Yin and Tang Hao 20.
- Su Yuntao — Spirit Hall deacon whom she plans to promote and place in charge of acquiring the Nuoding City blacksmith shop 21.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Reading *Rakshasa Reborn*
- Receives the book while bathing and initially fears its title means the Rakshasa God will possess her body 13.
- Reads about the Spirit Empire’s defeat, Qian Renxue’s death, and Xiao Wuji’s fatal stand against Tang San 13 14 15.
- The embedded story ends with her detonating her spirit, returning to the past, and resolving to train Xiao Wuji properly. This is the novel’s plot, not a demonstrated rebirth in the main storyline 15.
- Qian Daoliu’s separate novel gives a different account: Bibi Dong dies beneath the Asura Sword, while Qian Renxue’s Angel godhood is shattered 12.
Accepting and Supporting Xiao Wuji
- Receives his awakening report before Qian Daoliu and summons him to the Pope Palace 18.
- Recognizes the Heavenly Sword as belonging to the loyal disciple described in her book and accepts him immediately 18.
- Watches him master meditation in less than half a day, compared with the three days she herself required 18.
- Obtains the Wisdom Skull for him after reading that Elder Council resistance would otherwise allow valuable spirit bones to fall into Tang San’s hands 19 20.
The Blue Silver Emperor Resource Plan
- Learns the locations of A Yin’s hidden hundred-thousand-year right leg bone and the eighty-five-thousand-year Blue Silver King 21.
- Plans to wait until three months after Xiao Wuji’s awakening, when Tang Hao is expected to leave Holy Soul Village 21.
- Travels with Xiao Wuji, teaches him along the way, and receives his improved cultivation method in return 24.
- Sends him toward the valley to carry out the instructions. He subsequently obtains A Yin’s bone and receives the Blue Silver King’s Sacrifice 24 25 29.
