Background / History

A mysterious, indestructible Sky Screen manifested within the God Realm and displayed the Genius Ranking. The God Realm Hub did not react to it, leading the gods to conclude that an outside force had intruded. The Asura God dispatched ten divine officials to the Douluo Continent to investigate its origin and suppress resistance. 24

The Realm escalated its intervention after soul beasts exceeded the million-year limit and became gods. Fire God and twenty-three other deities descended on the Douluo Continent, but Gu Yuena killed Fire God and the remaining invading deities. 40 A subsequent expedition led by the Asura God and including the Rakshasa God ended with the Asura God heavily wounded and forced to retreat. 44

The God Realm Committee later recognized Cao Xiyu as an existence surpassing God Kings. Its assembly recorded the loss of Fire God, ten third-tier gods, and the Asura God's injuries, but failed to agree on a response: proposals included using the Sword of Judgment of the Three Realms and fusing God Kings. 56

Defections further destabilized the Realm. The Water God publicly declared her relationship with Cao Xiyu and departed, after which the assembled deities swore oaths not to betray or join rebellions. 63 The God of Light and God of Goodness also left the Realm's side. 67 75

By the time the Abyssal Plane and Gu Yuena formed an alliance to attack the God Realm, the Realm had strengthened patrols, reinforced its barriers, and prepared for war. 66 68 76

Government and Defenses

God Realm Committee

The God Realm is governed by five God Kings:

• Asura God — leads security responses, expeditions, surveillance, and the loyalty-oath initiative. 24 44 62 63
• God of Destruction — advocates decisive measures, including the Sword of Judgment of the Three Realms; volunteers to summon the Creator God's power through the Hub. 56 76
• God of Evil — participates in high-level deliberations and later urges the Realm to focus on Cao Xiyu and the Abyssal Plane rather than dwelling on defections. 24 56 76
• God of Goodness — opposed the Heart Demon Oath and later defected from the Realm. 62 75
• Goddess of Life — opposed the Heart Demon Oath and is later counted among the defectors. 62 90

God Realm Hub

The God Realm Hub serves as the Realm's principal defensive mechanism. It did not respond to the Sky Screen's appearance, confirming that the phenomenon lay outside its normal control. 24

Portions of the laws of Goodness, Evil, Life, Destruction, and Asura are solidified within the Hub. The remaining leadership intends to use it to invoke the Creator God's power, though the resulting power is less complete than a God King fusion and imposes a severe price on its summoner. 76

Law Enforcement and Security

• Ten divine officials were initially sent to investigate the Sky Screen on the Douluo Continent. 24 25
• The Law Enforcement Team attacked the Angel God Temple after Angel God's appearance on the Goddess Ranking; Angel God escaped with a Teleportation Talisman. 59
• After the God of Light's escape, the Asura God increased peripheral patrols, particularly around the Temple of Light and Darkness, and reinforced defensive barriers. 68
• The Realm later detected Abyssal Plane scouts near its passage and further strengthened its defenses. 93

Notable Locations

• God Committee Hall — meeting place of the gods and the site of major policy debates, including discussions of the Goddess Ranking and Heart Demon Oath. 57 62
• Angel God Temple — a temple forged entirely from unknown golden divine metal, filled with solar flames and sacred light; Angel God's former dwelling. 59
• Azure Wave Palace — Water God's eastern palace above a sea of clouds. Its form shifts with her will and is protected by three temperature-layered water curtains. 62
• Temple of Goodness — a sanctuary of white jade, perpetually bathed in dawn-like light. 75
• God Realm Hub — repository of solidified foundational laws and the Realm's means of drawing on the Creator God's power. 24 76

Major Conflicts

Conflict with Douluo Continent

The Realm's attempts to investigate and control the Sky Screen brought divine officials into conflict with major lower-realm factions. 24 25 Its later campaign against god-level soul beasts resulted in catastrophic losses at the hands of Gu Yuena. 40 44

Internal Rebellions

The Realm treats association with Cao Xiyu as a major threat to its cohesion. Water God, Angel God, God of Light, God of Goodness, and Goddess of Life are associated with defections or rebellion against its authority. 59 63 67 75 90

The Asura God responded by imposing a collective Godhead oath: those swearing it pledged never to betray the God Realm or participate in rebellion, under penalty of shattered divine position and scattered soul. 63

Approaching Invasion

The Crimson Mother directed the Abyssal Sage Monarch toward attacking the God Realm, while Gu Yuena agreed to ally with the Abyssal Plane. 65 66 The Realm considers the combined strength of the Abyssal Plane, Ye Family Fortress, and Soul Beast Clan difficult to resist, particularly after losing the support of Goodness and Life. 90
