The previous contract is gone!
"Where is the contract?" Ishtar asked with a cold face.
"Did you destroy the contract on your own?"
"No, I have no idea what contract you're talking about... when did we ever sign a contract?"
"The contract took effect the moment you agreed to become my Divine Messenger back then, but now it's gone!" Ishtar stared at Lan Ze with annoyance.
"Did you go to see the Goddess of the Underworld behind my back again?"
"No, I didn't."
"Then how could the contract just disappear...?" Ishtar simply sat down on top of Lan Ze, staring into his eyes with a mischievous smirk on her face.
"Let me see exactly who you've formed a contract with!"
She raised her hand slightly, light dancing at her fingertips.
The next moment, Ishtar's eyes turned a brilliant gold. She placed one hand on Lan Ze's cheek, looking down at him.
However, the moment she looked down at Lan Ze, Ishtar's pupils slowly dilated, and her graceful body suddenly stiffened.
A massive figure appeared in Ishtar's vision. That terrifying pressure was like a human looking up at a dragon; it was a sense of pressure born from the fear and submission deep within a god's heart.
This is... the Blessing of the Creation Mother Goddess.
"Why does a guy like you have Mother's..."
Ishtar's golden eyes slowly widened until they were like copper bells, and the way she looked at Lan Ze was filled with disbelief.
The massive figure currently appearing in Ishtar's eyes, along with that immense heart and the feeling that inspired such awe... wasn't that the Blessing of the Creation Mother Goddess?!
This guy has only been missing for three days, so how could he already have a blessing bestowed by Mother?
And if you calculate it that way... the one snatching her Divine Messenger wasn't the Goddess of the Underworld, but the Creation Mother Goddess?!
My mother is fighting me for a man?!
Ishtar was shaken by this realization, standing there in a daze as if she had been petrified and might vanish with the wind at any moment.
"Goddess...?" Lan Ze raised his hand and waved it gently in front of Ishtar, finally managing to pull her back to reality from her stupor.
He felt this goddess was a bit unpredictable; she was jumpy and it was hard to understand what she was thinking.
"Ahem..."
The high and mighty goddess regained her composure. She coughed lightly and gave Lan Ze a strange look: "Anyway, um... I'll take you back to the temple first."
Her originally arrogant tone seemed to have softened a bit.
She wanted to know exactly what had happened to Lan Ze.
If Ereshkigal had snatched her Divine Messenger, she would have taken him back immediately.
But if the target was 'Mother'... then never mind.
Come to think of it, even I haven't been favored by that "Mother"... what exactly is this guy's background?
Ishtar muttered to herself while leading Lan Ze toward the temple.
"By the way, where is this place?" Lan Ze followed behind Ishtar, his gaze scanning the surroundings.
"The Persian Gulf, about eight hundred kilometers away from that Golden Flash's kingdom," Ishtar said casually, though her eyes remained fixed on the boy beside her.
She couldn't figure it out... she absolutely couldn't understand where this guy got that blessing.
And besides, does that "Mother" even still exist in this world?
"Eight hundred kilometers..."
Lan Ze fell into deep thought. Looking at it this way, the Night Flight Ship really did fly quite far back then, carrying him over eight hundred kilometers?
Lan Ze suddenly realized something even more serious and turned his head to ask: "Speaking of which, we have to walk from here back to your temple...?"
"Otherwise?"
Ishtar hummed: "My Ma'anna can't carry another person back, so we have no choice but to walk."
"That's way too far." Lan Ze was speechless.
"What else can we do? I've decided to accompany you for a stretch before taking the Ma'anna back, you know? You should be grateful."
Lan Ze nodded, saying "yes, yes, yes," while thinking that her accompanying him for a stretch didn't change the fact that he still had to walk eight hundred kilometers to get back to the temple...
Eight hundred kilometers—if this were in reality, walking eight hours a day would take at least twenty days.
"Right... I remember I have the Gate of Babylon..."
Lan Ze suddenly remembered this matter. He searched his mind for a moment and, following his memories, raised his hand slightly.
A golden ring of light quietly appeared behind him, ripples of gold shimmering within it. Then, a Heavenly Ark made of gold and emeralds revealed its true form.
"Isn't that the Golden Flash's Gate of Babylon?!" Ishtar was startled, but her eyes lit up immediately.
There are so many jewels on that Heavenly Ark...
"That's a one-time item; it will disappear as soon as you take them off," Lan Ze warned immediately, fearing that Ishtar would pluck the jewels off his Heavenly Ark.
Ishtar's cheeks flushed slightly as she shouted, "I, I know that! I don't need you to tell me! Don't act like I care that much about your measly gems!"
Lan Ze just smiled. "Let's head out."
He had only just remembered that he had recently acquired the ability of Gate of Babylon 1.0, and this treasury, which contained most of the world's treasures, held the Vimana—a Heavenly Ark capable of carrying others across the skies.
It was a pity, however, that the items in this treasury were one-time use only; once consumed, they were gone.
Moreover, unlike the Gate of Babylon belonging to Gilgamesh, the Noble Phantasms within Lan Ze's treasury had a limited quantity.
Regardless, it was still a pretty decent reward.
Ishtar looked up at the boy riding the Vimana toward the temple, hesitated for a moment, and then gave chase.
"I have a question for you." Once she caught up to Lan Ze, she suddenly spoke.
"What is it?" Lan Ze turned his head against the wind to ask.
Ishtar asked directly, "Why do you have Mother's scent on you?"
Logically, she was a high-and-mighty goddess with an incredibly lofty status even among the gods, but at this moment, her attitude toward Lan Ze was clearly different from before.
Blessing of the Creation Mother Goddess... Under normal circumstances, it was impossible for any deity to receive such a blessing. Even now, she couldn't fathom why a human would possess her mother's blessing.
"What?!" Lan Ze turned his head and shouted.
The wind was too loud; he hadn't heard her... or rather, he was just pretending he hadn't.
"I said, why do you have Mother's—"
"Huh?!"
"I said—" Ishtar sighed, resting her hand on her forehead.
"Forget it, I'll ask you when we get back."
Saying this, she immediately increased her flight speed, darting rapidly toward her own temple.
At the same time, Ishtar began plotting in her mind how to interrogate Lan Ze once they returned to the temple. As if thinking of something, a charming curve couldn't help but form on her lips.
"Why do I feel a sense of crisis..." Lan Ze muttered to himself, watching the graceful back of the goddess in front of him.
Whether it was his intuition at work or something else, Lan Ze had felt an inexplicable sense of danger since just a moment ago.
Then again, should he say it was typical of Ishtar? She could even immediately detect the blessing on his body.
Actually, it wasn't that Lan Ze wanted to deliberately hide the matter regarding Tiamat; it was just that he couldn't think of a good explanation.
He couldn't exactly tell Ishtar: I met your mother these past two days, kissed her, and then your mother kissed me back... and then I inexplicably ended up with a blessing.
He had no idea how Ishtar would react if she found out about that.
Unlike the last time he rode the Dark Night Sun Ship, this time Lan Ze arrived at the temple very smoothly while riding the Vimana.
This made Lan Ze increasingly certain that the fact the Dark Night Sun Ship had gone out of control last time was, in all likelihood, the system pulling some strings.
He just didn't know what the system was trying to do.
Was it trying to guide him to meet the Mother of All?
"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and come in!" At this moment, Ishtar's crisp, pleasant voice came from afar. While Lan Ze was still dazed, he saw her walk over with a smile and hook her arm through his.
"Let's go, let's go. The rooms in my temple are actually quite large."
As she spoke, relying on her own strength, she forcibly dragged Lan Ze by the arm into the temple.

Lan Ze subconsciously glanced at the beaming goddess beside him, his expression slightly blank.
Why did he suddenly feel like this goddess... was far more enthusiastic than she had been just a moment ago?
In the main hall of the temple.
"This is butter cake, try it."
"This is roasted lamb chops..."
"And this is... why aren't you eating?"
At this very moment, Ishtar was bringing various kinds of food to the table, introducing the dishes while urging Lan Ze to eat quickly.
But Lan Ze didn't move at all; he only looked at Ishtar with a strange expression.
Something was wrong... definitely wrong!
What was up with this goddess today? Offering favors for no reason—no matter how he looked at it, it was suspicious.
"What's wrong?" Ishtar blinked, her face full of confusion.
Lan Ze sighed. "Lady Goddess, if you have something to say, just say it directly."
"What 'something'?" Ishtar blinked, looking completely bewildered.
"Is the food not fragrant enough? I specifically got these from the enthusiastic local residents, you know? The taste should be quite good, although I haven't tasted them myself."
"It's not about the food—"
Before Lan Ze could finish his sentence, Ishtar tilted her head, pressed her index finger to her lips, and muttered to herself as if she had just realized something: "Ah, could it be that you want me more than the food?"
By the time she finished speaking, the mistress of the heavens leaned her hands against the table, staring at Lan Ze with a smile full of charm on her face.
That smile was incredibly beautiful, yet it was also brimming with danger.
After all, Ishtar was a goddess who, in her previous life, dared to threaten the King of Gods to seize the divine authority of the Underworld, and even recklessly unleashed the Bull of Heaven. Although she had accepted the summoning using a human body as a vessel, her originally atrocious personality had been slightly tempered by the influence of the body's original owner.
But being tempered a little did not mean she would be completely well-behaved.
"Because I am standing right beside you, your mind isn't on the food at all, is it?" Ishtar placed one hand on her hip, eyeing Lan Ze with a teasing, malicious smile.
For some reason, seeing Lan Ze's calm demeanor made her want to do something that would make him shy; she felt it would be very amusing.
She certainly had the confidence to say such things, as she was, after all, the Goddess of Beauty who presided over Venus.
However, Lan Ze shook his head gently: "No, it has nothing to do with that."
Ishtar's delicate brows furrowed slightly.
Lan Ze sighed: "Since you have said so, Goddess, then I won't stand on ceremony."
He knew that Ishtar must have wanted to do something, but since she refused to say it, he had no way to force her.
Forget it, he would just eat his fill first.
After saying this, Lan Ze reached out toward the roasted lamb leg on the table.
To his surprise, the moment he reached out, Ishtar suddenly raised her hand to grab his wrist, then snatched the roasted lamb leg from his grasp.
"Goddess?" Lan Ze was a bit bewildered.
