Background / History
Tang Hao secretly watched Zhou Tong defeat Tang San and Xiao Wu at Notting Academy. Rather than intervene, he chose to spare Zhou Tong so Tang San could eventually kill him as a “whetstone” for his growth. He expected Tang San to surpass Zhou Tong after awakening the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 6
He later privately described Tang San as a tool for revenge, stating that the Tang family’s teachings permitted using anyone—including one’s son, wife, and father—to secure victory. 7
Tang Hao kept Tang San's origins concealed while discussing his future with Yu Xiaogang. He was informed that Tang San possessed twin martial souls and that Yu Xiaogang expected him to become a Titled Douluo. 10
After Zhou Tong took the Blue Silver Emperor and its right leg bone from Tang Hao's cave, Tang Hao continued to believe A Yin dead and kept her confined, preventing her from recovering or learning of his schemes. 11 13
Personality
Tang Hao is calculating, vindictive, and willing to instrumentalize his family for revenge. He views Tang San primarily as a means to achieve victory, though he also acts repeatedly to protect and strengthen him. 7 55
He is intensely proud of his talent and Clear Sky Hammer, making defeat and strategic containment especially difficult for him to accept. During his first battle with Zhou Tong and Dugu Bo, he became enraged by being unable to apply his strength effectively. 52
After Tang San is repeatedly defeated by Zhou Tong, Tang Hao's hostility escalates into attempted assassination. He seeks to remove Zhou Tong not only for revenge, but to clear Tang San's future path. 82 84
