Ultraman Is Dead?

Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue remembered the Sky Screen's explanation of the universe.

Though they still didn't understand it very well, they at least knew that the universe was made up of countless worlds, each larger than Douluo Continent.

Beyond the universe were things like the multiverse and parallel universes.

And the Hyper Zetton Xiao Che had mentioned was Zetton's strongest form.

It had actually been able to plunge an entire universe into despair. Its strength was simply unimaginable.

But at that moment, Bibi Dong seemed to think of something and asked:

"Doesn't that universe have Ultraman to protect it? How could the Land of Light allow Hyper Zetton to grow so recklessly?"

Qian Renxue nodded.

She had just been about to ask the same thing.

Xiao Che answered naturally:

"There was, and that Ultraman was extremely powerful too. But even as a juvenile, Hyper Zetton defeated him and turned him into a stone statue. After it matured into its complete form, it easily beat three powerful Ultra Warriors to the brink of death and disappearance."

After hearing this, both women stared in shock, their mouths slightly agape.

It wasn't that Hyper Zetton had failed to be eliminated before it matured. It was that even as a juvenile, it had been powerful enough to defeat an Ultra Warrior.

They thought it over for a while and were about to ask another question, but Xiao Che already knew what they wanted to ask.

"You want to know how powerful the Mysterious Four Ultras are, right? Let me put it this way: they're incredibly powerful, with the ability to destroy and recreate the universe. To all Ultra Warriors, the Mysterious Four Ultras are gods."

Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue were stunned once again.

Even Ultraman, an existence so outrageously powerful, was far beyond the gods of Douluo Continent.

And above Ultraman were beings who were practically gods to the Ultra Warriors!

And when Xiao Che said they could destroy and recreate the universe, that meant the Mysterious Four Ultras might be able to destroy countless Douluo Continents—and create just as many.

Now those were true gods!

Bibi Dong suddenly felt that her Rakshasa God position seemed rather unimpressive. Qian Renxue felt the same way.

The gods of Douluo Continent and the Land of Light weren't even on the same level.

Those beings were already beyond god level by adulthood. They didn't even bother looking at a tiny place like Douluo Continent—or this little planet.

What kind of god was a god of a single planet?

Even the Zetton Alien's true form seemed to be only a little stronger than an ordinary human. Yet its goal was to conquer the universe.

The important thing was, it really had the strength to do it. It used methods other than cultivation to plunge the universe into despair.

It had even taken the intervention of the Mysterious Four Ultras to finally defeat it.

Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue began to reflect, too.

Perhaps they should broaden their horizons.

They shouldn't spend their lives as little local gods on this tiny planet, on this little Douluo Continent.

And they had to remember that Xiao Che was also an Ultraman.

If an Ultraman had come to this planet, that meant Douluo Continent might also be invaded by Monsters or other aliens from the universe.

Even if they became gods then, would they be able to protect Douluo Continent—or Spirit Hall?

Bibi Dong didn't think so.

They could only rely on Xiao Che's powerful strength. Fortunately, someone as powerful as him was currently on their side.

While Bibi Dong was still thinking about how to win Xiao Che over further, Qian Renxue moved closer to him first.

Her chest pressed tightly against Xiao Che's arm as she wrapped both arms around it, holding his entire arm against her.

"So you came to protect us, then? Could you take me to the Land of Light for a look, too?"

Faced with such a stunning beauty主动ly throwing herself into his arms, feeling the softness against his arm, Xiao Che remained expressionless.

He merely said to Qian Renxue in a calm voice:

"Just watch, then. You'll get to see more later, and the more you know about the Monsters, the better it'll be for you. After all, you'll have to face them, too."

Xiao Che's words confirmed Bibi Dong's suspicions.

So Monsters really would come to Douluo Continent!

But with Xiao Che around, the Monsters' arrival would instead be an opportunity for Douluo Continent.

A tremendous opportunity!

The Sky Screen continued showing the scene.

[Just as Ultraman was reeling in shock, the yellow glowing organ on Zetton's chest began to flash. It let out its distinctive cry: "Zetton--!"]

That strange cry once again spilled despair from the Sky Screen and spread across Douluo Continent.

Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue began to understand that Zetton's special ability might be related to despair.

[It thrust both hands forward and fired a string of superheated Trillion-Degree Fireballs, bombarding Ultraman violently and leaving him in agony.]

[Ultraman tried to make one last counterattack, but Zetton unleashed an even deadlier move. It spread its barrier again, absorbing and converting the energy of the attack beam Ultraman fired. Then it joined its hands into an L shape and released a wave-shaped beam from its arms. In reality, it was Ultraman's own Specium Ray, amplified and reflected back at him!]

Despair spilled from the Sky Screen and had already begun to affect Douluo Continent.

Some people were affected by Zetton, too.

Many young children were frightened into tears. Those with weaker nerves felt their legs go limp and dropped to their knees without realizing it.

"How could anyone win against this? Its defense is flawless, those fireballs are powerful and can be fired in rapid succession, and it can even completely absorb and reflect the Specium Ray."

Di Tian, watching the scene on the Sky Screen, darkened his dragon face.

His earlier conclusion—that Zetton specialized in defense and had weak attacks—had been proven wrong.

This Zetton was a monster that could do everything!

Xiong Jun wasn't convinced and hurriedly tried to salvage the argument:

"Zetton may be powerful, but we Soul Beasts have intelligence. That's a fundamental difference between us and a puppet like this."

Just then, Gu Yuena suddenly spoke:

"But Zetton is clearly being controlled by the Zetton Alien. Someone capable of creating a Monster that surpasses a million-year Soul Beast, controlling a perfect Monster that lacks only intelligence..."

Before Gu Yuena could finish, despair spilled forth.

Di Tian, too, began to take this figure known as the Zetton Alien seriously.

It looked human, but there were fundamental differences between it and humans.

So Di Tian said:

"The thing Ultraman is eliminating is us Soul Beasts. As the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. If Zetton really can kill Ultraman, perhaps we can try to form an alliance."

Gu Yuena and Xiong Jun were both startled.

Di Tian, who had always thought so highly of himself, had actually acknowledged someone else.

But they both understood that this was a move born of necessity.

After all, Ultraman wanted to eliminate them, the Soul Beasts!

It was even possible that Ultraman had already arrived on Douluo Continent and was somewhere out there scouting them.

Only by allying with these aliens or Monsters could they have a chance of survival.

But could Zetton really kill Ultraman?

Wasn't Ultraman immortal?

The scene on the Sky Screen continued to change, answering their question.

[The reflected beam struck the Color Timer on Ultraman's chest with pinpoint accuracy. The timer's light went out instantly, and the light in Ultraman's eyes vanished as well. His gigantic body swayed, then crashed to the ground like a collapsing mountain, never to move again.]

[This was the first time Ultraman had been defeated on Earth—and a true death in every sense of the word.]
