Each completed cycle reaches 100/100, allowing a talent to be acquired or further refined; seed-slot upgrades and subsequent Life Transformations are included where they expand the ability’s documented capabilities 2 228 315.

Abilities & Mechanics

Essence-Blood Extraction

• Lin activates Spirit Snatch by connecting his consciousness to the Origin Cauldron while touching the gathered blood. The cauldron drains its essence and condenses a Treasure Seed 192 266.
• Extraction removes the blood’s spirituality and special substances; its color fades, and its strong odor can dissipate 174 199.
• Even blood remaining in failed pills can supply progress, making discarded alchemical material useful 3.
• The process can identify an unknown source species. A single drop reveals the Riftwind Demon Falcon and its bloodline talents 89.

Talent Selection and Refinement

• A completed initial seed normally presents three talents, of which Lin selects one to refine into himself 2 3 228.
• The selected seed passes through his soul and merges into his body or bloodline, granting the corresponding ability 228 266.
• Subsequent cycles continue refining the chosen talent, producing increasingly advanced arts 113 199 228.
• The three offered talents are not necessarily the creature’s entire repertoire. The Mountain-Moving Ape’s Tremor Howl is absent, leading Lin to infer that the cauldron prioritizes talents according to an unknown rule 106.
• Greater bloodline grade and purity produce noticeably stronger acquired arts 242.

Spirit Root, Soul, and Divine-Sense Enhancement

• Refining Treasure Seeds improves elemental Spirit Root resonance alongside the selected talent. Fire Crow refinements strengthen Lin’s Fire Spirit Root; Earth Control and Water Shadow Stealth accompany Earth and Water root improvements 3 228 266.
• These gains overturn Lin’s understanding that Spirit Roots are innate and unchangeable 3.
• By Chapter 257, all five of his elemental roots have left the mixed-grade category; even the weakest is lower-grade 257.

Life Transformation

• Spirit Snatch and Life Transformation are separate requirements. Filling Spirit Snatch does not automatically complete the seed’s final evolution 49 130 199.
• Seeds eligible for ancestral reversion display a separate Life Transformation counter, commonly 0/10 before the required blood is absorbed 49 144 272.
• Completing both can produce an ancestral demon art or the true intent of a bloodline divine ability, depending on the seed’s potential 49 61.
• The Poisonfire Barbarian Bull reaches 10/10 Life Transformation and becomes a Supreme True Core, granting an improved Poisonfire demon art 192.

Progress Requirements & Limits

Essence-Blood Yield

• Lin’s cultivation is linked to extraction efficiency; advancement also accelerates the Origin Treasure Seed’s accumulation from his own blood 33 149.
• Beast Treasure Seeds can be raised immediately when sufficient materials are available, whereas the Origin Treasure Seed requires time to accumulate 9.
• Stronger blood can reduce the collection burden, but rare bloodlines remain difficult to obtain commercially 89 285.

Seed Potential

Seed-Slot Restrictions

• Treasure Seeds occupy bloodline-tier slots in the Origin Cauldron; lacking a vacant compatible slot can prevent further Spirit Snatching 58.
• Completing a seed’s transformation upgrades its former slot rather than simply restoring its original use. After the Fire Crow slot opens, Lin’s attempt to use Mortal Tainted White Spirit Sparrow blood still fails 58 106.
• Completing all lower-tier transformations eventually gives him ten Turbid Baleful slots, then fifteen Mystic Spirit slots 106 315.
• The Riftwind Demon Falcon seed remains in an inner position instead of occupying an outer slot. Lin infers that higher-grade seeds may be held separately until an appropriate slot becomes available 89.

Material and Ability Limits

• Spirit Snatch has no effect on the Riftwind Demon Falcon’s remaining feather; its essence blood works, but that remnant does not 89.
• The acquired arts retain their own restrictions. Hallucination · Clear Insight depends on water vapor or wood energy, while early Fire Escape has limited range and substantial magical-power costs under repeated use 242 337.
• First-layer formation requires enough blood. Lin deliberately prepares sufficient material before committing a slot to a new seed 114.
• The original extraction appears to have imposed a physical cost: Lin suspects that years of losing essence blood caused his childhood frailty and declining condition after he began cultivating 2.

Background / History

Spirit Snatch is first revealed after the Origin Cauldron has already spent years drawing Lin Changheng’s essence blood. Its completed Origin Treasure Seed offers Clear Heart, Wisdom, and Enlightenment Boost. Lin chooses improved comprehension to address his immediate alchemy difficulties, gaining Omniscience and recognizing that the cauldron may also have begun altering his Spirit Roots 2.

The discovery that Fire Crow blood can form another seed changes his approach from waiting for personal blood accumulation to actively gathering beast materials. He plans to use better fire control to improve alchemy, sell pills, and finance further blood purchases. Later, he expands from discarded-pill recovery to merchant supplies, spirit-beast donations, personal hunting, and higher-grade bloodline transformations 3 28 228 317 339.

Resource Acquisition
