Background / History
Tang San secretly intervened in the Douluo Plane out of concern for the growth and future of his daughter, Tang Wutong. His interference was detected by the God of Destruction and the Goddess of Life, prompting a direct warning not to repeat it. 32
The Sky Screen later exposed his alterations to Tang Wutong's life: her divine sense was stripped away, her memories were sealed while she lived as Wang Dong, and part of her divine consciousness was implanted into the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. Tang San also infused Tang Wutong with destiny power, evolving her martial soul into the Radiant Dragon God Butterfly and raising the age of her soul rings. 35 36
Tang San selected Huo Yuhao as a prospective husband for Tang Wutong because of his status as the Child of Destiny and his potential to become a god. To shape him, Tang San manipulated the Douluo Continent's fortune so that Huo Yuhao would endure bullying, hardship, and hatred at the White Tiger Duke Mansion. 40 41
He further withheld intervention when Huo Yuhao's mother, Huo Yun'er, died, intending to preserve her soul in the lower realm and restore her body when it would serve his plan. Subsequent revelations connected Tang San to Huo Yuhao's attachment to Tang Wutong, including memory and intimacy seals and further measures intended to keep Huo Yuhao under Tang family control. 41 43
Personality
Tang San is calculating and highly controlling, treating both fate and personal relationships as tools to secure the Tang family's future. He frames his manipulation of Huo Yuhao's suffering as necessary tempering, believing that hardship would forge a suitable son-in-law. 40 41
His actions are driven by paternal concern for Tang Wutong, but his willingness to alter her memories, divine consciousness, relationships, and cultivation causes widespread condemnation. When confronted by the gods, he attempts to appease them before later admitting his crimes and accepting punishment. 32 37 44
