"Heavenly Humans' Five Decays..."
The term lingered in Chen Yan's mind.
Considering that the two people from the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion had invoked the "Five Decays of Heavenly Humans" as punishment for breaking their oath, Chen Yan could make a rough guess:
The "Five Decays" were most likely a tribulation of the Great Dao that accompanied the Heavenly Human realm. They concerned the decay of the physical body, the decline of True Essence, the clouding of the spirit, and even the exhaustion of one's fortune—a sword hanging over the heads of all Heavenly Humans.
To swear by it was to stake one's path and life directly, so it naturally carried tremendous weight.
But...
Chen Yan had met very few beings above the Grandmaster Realm, and he also had no idea whether the Heavenly Human realm in the Blood Moon Realm corresponded more or less to the Grandmaster Realm on Blue Star.
Similar combat strength didn't mean they cultivated in the same way.
His myriad thoughts eventually came down to one thing:
Forget it. There's no point in overthinking it. The pressing task is to grow stronger and refine the Indestructible Body!
At that thought, Chen Yan sensed the ceaselessly surging yet still incomplete Indestructible Internal Breath within him, along with his pale golden bones.
He still needed nearly half the vast reserves of cultivation resources required to complete the initial stage of the Indestructible Body. His next target was the Bitter Bamboo King!
Chen Yan darted over the jagged mountain rocks and quickly locked onto a lone, slender thread of soul, fleeing toward a deep bamboo forest.
Unlike the other demon kings, who had fled in panicked disarray, this thread of soul stopped at the edge of the bamboo forest. Its aura shifted from frantic to a calm, resolute sharpness.
