Section 32: Strength Surges

As everyone knew, demon beasts' cultivation was divided into juvenile demons, Lesser Demons, Great Demons, Spirit Demons, and Tribulation Demons.

Of these, 1–9 years made a juvenile demon; 10–99 years, a Lesser Demon; 100–999 years, a Great Demon; 1,000–9,999 years, a Spirit Demon. Anything above ten thousand years was a Tribulation Demon.

Every one of these stages brought a qualitative transformation. This also meant that the later a demon beast's stage, the less noticeable the effects of raising its cultivation became.

If a demon crystal containing a hundred years of cultivation were absorbed by a juvenile demon, it could propel it straight into the Great Demon stage. But once it reached the Tribulation Demon stage, even a hundred such demon crystals would only add ten thousand years of cultivation. To a Tribulation Demon, that degree of increase was nothing more than a drizzle, a trifling scrap not worth looking at.
