The scene shifted. When he came back to himself, he was already standing in the wilderness.
Looking at the grass beneath his feet, less than a foot tall, and the boundless prairie stretching out like a green ocean, Li Su's already foul mood instantly turned as though he had swallowed shit. He nearly cursed out loud.
The Earth Clan had officially announced that the battlefield would be selected from among the Earth Clan's trial grounds, but he had never imagined he would end up in this particular place.
This was the Living Continent, as the Earth Clan called it.
Its defining feature was its primeval forests—a super-dense forest spanning half the planet, formed by its unique hot and humid climate. From an ecological standpoint, it could be summed up simply as: so green it made your heart panic.
As for why Li Su wanted to curse, it naturally had a great deal to do with where he was standing.
This prairie lay in the north of the Living Continent. It was the largest plain on the entire continent, utterly flat as far as the eye could see, without even a place to hide oneself.
Of course, that was not the main point!
The main point was the creatures living in this wilderness. Amid those billions upon billions of blades of grass lived an exceptionally peculiar species!
Light-Spitting Insects.
Hearing that name, people would probably picture something in their minds.
Bugs that spat light?
At the very least, that was what Li Su had thought at first. When Black Stone had introduced the circumstances of the four continents to him, he had even wondered why he was bringing up such a thing.
The name sounded simple enough. Compared to ancient vicious beasts, Soaring Serpents, Xiangliu, and the like, it seemed vastly
