The Path to Heaven was a breathtaking wonder located in the Eastern Domain.
Legend had it that it had once been a bridge between the mortal world and the heavenly realm, a part of the divine tree that linked heaven and earth—the World Tree.
After heaven and earth were severed, the World Tree fell. This Path to Heaven had formed from one of its fallen branches. Many leaves grew along both sides; counting them carefully, there were roughly over three hundred.
Though it was merely a single branch, it was astonishing beyond measure.
Its length alone approached a million li, while its widest point even exceeded ten thousand li.
Every branch it bore was incomparably enormous. The veins on each leaf were like mountains, the dew like lakes; a single curve, a single line in its pattern, stretched for dozens of li.
The Path to Heaven itself spanned an enormous chasm. It was a bottomless pit. Looking down, it seemed nearly boundless, as though the entire continent had been split in two. Even a Daluo Realm cultivator, straining their sight to its utmost, could not see where its bottom ended.
It lay between the Heavenly Court and Demon Court of the northeast, on the far side of the great river that connected the two.
In other words, it was on the opposite bank of the river Li Su had traveled by boat.
The geography of the Eastern Domain was exceedingly strange.
If one drew a pentagon on the ground, then its upper, left, lower-left, and lower sides would all be east. Only the lower-right corner would be west.
The reason for such a division was the rising and setting of the sun.
