"Elder Qi!"
After nearly half a day, the command center, isolated from the outside world, finally regained communications.
Hearing the voice, Elder Qi sighed in relief, though he was still somewhat tense.
"How is it outside?"
"The situation is terrible."
"The communications equipment was almost completely destroyed. So far, we've only barely restored communications."
"The base's energy supply equipment was damaged as well. It'll take quite some time to repair."
"And the launch silos, the low-frequency sonic towers, the base's defensive gun emplacements—all of them were destroyed, thoroughly. Repairs alone will probably take several months."
"Not only that, there are still large amounts of virus and biochemicals inside the base. Until they're cleared out, repairs can't proceed smoothly at all..."
Though Yang Tao had been forced to abandon the base and leave, he had carried out comprehensive destruction across the entire facility.
Clearly, he had been buying time for himself and the others to escape.
Listening to the report from outside, not only were the others in the control center deeply troubled, even Elder Qi himself had a headache.
As a scientist, Yang Tao was outstanding. At the very least, when it came to destroying a base, he had displayed astonishing talent.
Elder Qi took a deep breath and calmly accepted it. All of this had basically been within his expectations. After all, if he had been Yang Tao, he would have done the same. Compared to that, what Elder Qi cared about more—what concerned him more—was Li Su.
"Where's Yellow Dragon? When you came over, you didn't run into that outsider, did you?"
"No. General Yellow Dragon is currently leading an all-out campaign to wipe out the remaining biochemicals in the base. There are still quite a few left inside—probably more than ten thousand in total."
Elder Qi couldn't
