The beast's head looked somewhat like a wild boar's, but its skin was a ghastly white. It was over four meters long and two meters tall.

From within the Gray Fog came a drumming like raindrops.
Keeping time with the beat, the beasts let out low growls and advanced on the crowd.
The panic among the people grew worse. The crush turned into a stampede, and cries and curses blended into a single cacophony.
A tall, thin patrolman saw what was happening and instinctively raised his pistol and pulled the trigger.
As if they had received a signal, the Patrol Squad officers opened fire one after another, forming a simple line of fire.
Gunshots rang out. The beasts were hit, but the bullets did little damage.
They pierced the beasts' flesh, leaving wounds no bigger than a thumb, from which green slime seeped.
