A middle-aged man suddenly appeared ahead. His face bore a natural air of authority as he spoke.
Little Red slammed on the brakes and hovered silently in midair, staring hard at the man before him.
The middle-aged man was a True Lord of the Demon Race at the Dao Integration stage.
Whatever their race, once they took human form, they preferred to look like members of the Human Race. It was simply convenient, and that was the only reason.
It had nothing to do with the absurd claim that humans were born with Dao bodies and were the beings closest to the Dao.
If humans were naturally close to the Great Dao, they wouldn't be so weak.
"So you're the divine beast, Your Highness. Where are you headed?"
Only after seeing Little Red did the middle-aged man's expression soften slightly.
"Where I'm going is none of Your Lordship's concern. Please step aside."
Little Red spoke calmly. If the man before him weren't a True Lord, he would have cursed him out already. But the man was a True Lord at the Dao Integration stage, and Little Red didn't dare insult him.
After all, no matter how powerful your faction was, you still had to show a great expert proper respect. Otherwise, even if that expert killed you, you'd be dead for nothing.
A True Lord at the Dao Integration stage was someone an entire race had to treat with caution, let alone a mere faction.
"You may leave, Your Highness, but leave those three humans on your back behind. I suspect they're connected to the unrest in the Dark Forest. I'll take them back for questioning."
"If they have nothing to do with it, I'll let them go."
After the True Lord finished speaking, Little Red's eyes flickered.
