As the Star River Cosmos fell into calamity, Ye Lin entered the Chaos Secret Realm, strengthened his Chaos Sword Body, and gathered treasures while arranging protection for his breakthrough. He left the realm to prepare for that breakthrough, but the Third Ancestor attacked him and Sword Venerable intervened.

• Ye Lin learned from the First Ancestor that the Heavenly Dao was withering and the calamity had no known solution, then wandered the ruined Star River Cosmos with Luo Yao and Lin Yunlu.
• A mysterious red-eyed figure offered to guarantee Ye Lin's advancement in exchange for using his body, but Ye Lin refused and was warned to beware of his friends.
• Three years later, Ye Lin entered the Chaos Secret Realm with Li Xiaoyao, then split from him after saving him from a Chaos Behemoth.
• Ye Lin killed Chaos Behemoths and a Chaos True Dragon, absorbing their essence until his Chaos Sword Body changed and his strength surged.

Ye Lin survived a conspiracy against his breakthrough, entered the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal realm, and took control of the Human Race’s destiny. He hunted the parasites threatening the Star River Cosmos, then rescued Taiyuan, Yun Muyao, and Qingqing from captivity.

• Sword Venerable warned Ye Lin that the Aberrations and Primordial Unity Golden Immortals wanted him dead, but Ye Lin began his breakthrough with Sky Vault and Luo Yao protecting him.
• Sword Venerable and the Phoenix Clan’s three ancestors defended Ye Lin from dozens of Primordial Unity Golden Immortals until the Heavenly Dao shielded him and drove the attackers away.
• After a year of tribulation, Ye Lin emerged as a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal and thanked Sword Venerable and Sky Vault for helping him.
• Ye Lin killed the Three Ancestors of the Human Race at their request, rejected the Aberrations’ offer, and used the Human Race’s destiny treasures to stabilize human fortune.
• Ye Lin thanked the Phoenix Clan for protecting his breakthrough, then hunted Primordial Unity Golden Immortals and Aberrations in the river of time, restoring the Heavenly Dao’s origin with their deaths.

Ye Lin revisited the people and places of his past, settled the Forbidden Void among humanity, and then confronted the Aberrations released by the Heavenly Dao. With allies helping him trap them, he struck down a powerful Aberration as the Emperor Road's opening drew nearer.

• Ye Lin reunited with Luo Yao and Ye Buqu, then passed his Sword Dao insights to Ye Buqu before leaving him to honor their final parting.
• Ye Lin visited Zhuge Yun at Firmament Sacred Land, offered to help him cultivate, and left resources and protective Sword Qi for Zhuge Yun and Nangong Yunlan.
• Ye Lin returned to the Xuanhuang Great World, revisited the Azure Cloud Sect, and left Taichu the Chaos Sword Casket and other resources before continuing on.
• Ye Lin visited Stone Village and learned from the river of time that Naya had kept his necklace, become village chief, and died without marrying.

• Sword Venerable, Sky Vault, and five Primordial Unity Golden Immortals from the Phoenix and Dragon Clans joined Ye Lin, and the two sides began a battle that shattered the River of Time.
• Ye Lin and his allies trapped an Aberration with God-Binding Ropes, and Ye Lin wounded it with the Emperor Sword and Karmic Fire Red Lotus before driving Purgatory Ice Flame into its head.

Ye Lin eliminated the remaining Aberrations, climbed the Hundred Heroes Ranking, and received guidance from the Heaven-Devouring Devil Master. After the Emperor Road appeared, he entered its trials and advanced through increasingly dangerous realms, with his cultivation rising rapidly.

• Ye Lin challenged the Hundred Heroes Ranking, climbed to twenty-first place, and withdrew after reaching his limits.
• Ye Lin lost to the Heaven-Devouring Devil Lord, who advised him to travel as far as possible along the Emperor Road rather than rely on the Great Luo Dao Fruit.
