Ye Lin punished Wang Zifu, explored a dangerous cavern with Tang Feng, and obtained the Godslayer Sword after passing Jian Wudi’s inheritance to Tang Feng. As the Chaos Ancient Clan prepared to invade Heavenly March Prefecture, Ye Lin returned from seclusion and joined the forces heading to face it.

• Luo Yao arrived at Xuanyuan Peak while Ye Lin cultivated, and later Ye Lin punished Wang Zifu for seizing his territory before returning to reunite with Luo Yao.
• Tang Feng took Ye Lin to a cavern where they encountered a Lava Monster and discovered Jian Wudi’s tomb and inheritance.
• Ye Lin gave Jian Wudi’s inheritance to Tang Feng, then claimed the Godslayer Sword, which let them pass the Lava Monster and leave the cavern.
• While Ye Lin cultivated, the Chaos Ancient Clan sealed off the Origin Continent, and Su Xin organized the mining of resources to prepare for war.
• Ye Lin ended his seclusion, received Su Xin’s gathered resources, and learned that the Chaos Ancient Clan would attack Heavenly March Prefecture in three years.
• The ancestor ordered Ye Lin and the other powerhouses to remain and fight, and three years later they went out to meet the arriving Chaos Ancient Clan.

Ye Lin survived the fall of Heavenly March Prefecture and took refuge in Heavenly Capital City, where he uncovered the rulers’ use of Soul-Bewildering Incense and their scheme to refine the inhabitants into human pills. After freeing three rebels, he set out to find a quiet way into the restricted Central Land and its Three-Life Sacred Lotus.

• Ye Lin fought in the staged battle for Heavenly March Prefecture, killed Dragon Emperor and Lin Zhen, then rescued Luo Yao and Xinyou as the Chaos Ancient Clan occupied the prefecture.
• Ye Lin reached Heavenly Capital City, where the three City Lords appointed him Deputy City Lord and gave him command of the Eighth City Defense Army.
• Ye Lin became suspicious of the Soul-Bewildering Incense in his residence and learned that the city’s gate would not let him leave before he completed his duties.
• Ye Lin learned that the city’s districts surrounded a Central Land controlled by the three City Lords and their Dark Shadow Guard, and he discovered that the incense also filled the army hall.
• Ye Lin questioned three prisoners and learned that foreign Quasi-Saints had seized the city, using the incense to turn its inhabitants into human pills.
• The prisoners told Ye Lin that they sought the Three-Life Sacred Lotus to heal the Qilin Saint, who could expose the city’s crimes, and Ye Lin freed them while accepting a bottle of the Saint’s blood.
• Team Leader Wang accused Ye Lin of colluding with the prisoners, but the City Lords ordered that Ye Lin be watched as a possible lead to Qilin.
• Ye Lin approached the Central Land under cover of his concealing panel, but two Primordial Unity Golden Immortals barred him from entering.

Ye Lin infiltrated Heavenly Capital City, freed a Quasi-Saint demon, and uncovered the impostors who had imprisoned the Qilin Saint. After healing the Qilin and receiving the Wind-Stabilizing Pearl, Ye Lin joined the scramble for the City Lord Mansion’s treasures, where he confronted Luo Rulie.

• Ye Lin used his clones to distract Heavenly Capital City’s guards, entered the city, and stole the Three-Life Sacred Lotus and other resources from a hidden tower.
• Ye Lin freed the Quasi-Saint demon from its box, and its rampage let him evade suspicion while he set out to find the Qilin Saint.
• Ye Lin showed the Three-Life Sacred Lotus to the captives and had them lead him to a supposed refuge, where Ling Fan and Ling Feng tried to seize the lotus.
• Ye Lin and his clones killed Ling Fan and Ling Feng, then broke through a hidden wall and found the wounded Qilin Saint chained in a cage.
• Ye Lin gave the Qilin Saint healing medicine and the Three-Life Sacred Lotus, and the recovered Qilin rewarded him with the Wind-Stabilizing Pearl before attacking the three city lords.
• As the Qilin confronted the city lords, Ye Lin entered the City Lord Mansion to loot it and followed Luo Rulie into a hidden treasure chamber.
• Ye Lin sealed the chamber’s exit with the Heaven-Shaking Bell and his clones, demanded Luo Rulie’s treasures, and attacked when Luo Rulie charged him.

After escaping Heavenly Capital City, Ye Lin traveled to Divine Capital City and entered the newly opened Dome Realm with Zhao Yuyan, Qingtian, and Ling Qing'er. He discovered the Tree of Life and a hidden world beneath it, where he offered Ling Qing'er to the Spirit King in exchange for his own safety.

• Ye Lin killed Luo Rulie, then joined the slaughter of Heavenly Capital City's enthralled inhabitants until the city was emptied of life.
• Tang Feng and his companions found Ye Lin in the dead city, returned Luo Yao to him, and invited him to join the Supreme Sword Sect, but Ye Lin chose to wander.
• Ye Lin took Luo Yao to Divine Capital City, where he met Zhao Yuyan and accepted her offer to explore the Dome Realm with Ling Qing'er and Qingtian.
• After entering the realm, Ye Lin discovered a river of life force and absorbed it, cultivating until he broke through to the mid-stage Daluo Golden Immortal realm.
• Ye Lin found the Tree of Life beneath the river and fought Ling Qing'er over it, wounding her before they both began searching for the treasure that had nourished it.
• Ye Lin dug through the realm's unusually sturdy earth while Ling Qing'er followed his tunnels and descended into a hidden world.
• Ye Lin met the Spirit King, promised to offer Ling Qing'er as tribute in exchange for his life, and struck up a friendly understanding with him.
