• Ye Lin broke through Yan Batian’s attacks and defeated him, but accepted Yan Rulie’s treasures and released Yan Batian after Yan Rulie intervened.
• Ye Lin called on the Human Race to settle its debts with the myriad races, and human and allied forces battled across the Ten Thousand Cities Alliance.
• Ethereal told Void how her mother’s murder and the villagers’ cruelty led her to leave her mortal world and join the Shadow Kill Pavilion.
• The Human Race took control of the alliance over the next hundred years, while Ye Lin stabilized his cultivation in seclusion and returned as a late-stage True Immortal.

Ye Lin chose his Human Race companions for the Void Burial, established Sword Mountain, and led them to Heaven Earth City. There he killed Mo Xin and the Devil Race prodigies, leaving the other prodigies convinced of his strength.

• Dongfang Shence gave Wan Dang a list of nine Human Race prodigies, and ten years later Ye Lin inscribed the Law of Karma and prepared to meet the candidates.
• Ye Lin accepted Meng Meng as the Fox Race representative, tested the Human Race prodigies, and led them against fifty other hopefuls, all of whom were killed.
• Ye Lin destroyed the old Holy Mountain and created Sword Mountain, then departed for Heaven Earth City with his ten followers.
• Ye Lin arrived at Heaven Earth City's gates, where soldiers could not find Blood Baleful in their register and nearby prodigies mocked the Human Race.

Ye Lin cultivated the Invincible Fortune Method and entered the Void Burial with the Northern Continent’s prodigies. There, he fought Qingcang and Wuchen, killing Qingcang before Delusion killed Wuchen, while Ye Lin continued toward the central region and the Stone Stele.

• Ye Lin threatened Ru Yan after she challenged his killing of Devil Race prodigies, then claimed her reserved seat in the Heaven-Reaching Tower.

Ye Lin rescued Taiqing from Cang Sheng and Caged Bird, then led his companions to the Blazing Fire Stele, where Dugu Feng confronted the Southern prodigies over his brother’s death. Ye Lin defeated Qin Hua while Dugu Feng killed Wenxin, and crimson rain fell over the gathered prodigies.

• Wu Wang killed Wuchen, and Ye Lin rejected using the corpse for one of his incarnations before leading the exhausted Human Race prodigies onward.
• Cang Sheng and Caged Bird attacked Taiqing and her disciples, who sacrificed themselves until Taiqing stood alone and began entering the demonic Dao.
• Ye Lin appeared, defeated Cang Sheng and Caged Bird, and let Taiqing kill Caged Bird and imprison Cang Sheng’s Primordial Spirit in torment.
• Taiqing joined Ye Lin’s group, and they traveled through the Blazing Fire Prairie until they reached the Blazing Fire Stele and its gathered Demon Domain prodigies.
• Dugu Feng challenged Qin Hua over Gudu Mo’s death, while Wenxin joined Qin Hua to settle the Myriad Saint Buddhist Sect’s karmic debt.
• Ye Lin intervened in the battle, introduced himself as Blood Baleful, and fought Qin Hua while Dugu Feng faced Wenxin.
• Ye Lin defeated Qin Hua, who accepted death and disintegrated himself, while Dugu Feng fatally wounded Wenxin.
