The armies of the three dynasties began competing in the vast Arena, where the Heavenward Imperial Dynasty won its opening match and the Myriad Buddha Army battled the Myriad Demon Army.

• Ye Lin studied the black jade slip’s Saintly visions, gained his first grasp of the Dao, and agreed to serve Su Cheng in exchange for the opportunity.
• Su Cheng appointed Ye Lin deputy commander, and Ye Lin joined Nie Zhao on the Southern Region front.
• Ye Lin proposed that the three dynasties settle their dispute through a contest, with the losing sides withdrawing from the region.
• Su Cheng ordered Nie Zhao to hold the contest rather than attack the Great Frost Imperial Dynasty, and the three dynasties built an enormous Arena.

• The Buddhist army defeated the Myriad Demon Imperial Dynasty, and Liu Zheng challenged Nie Zhao to a duel that would decide their match.
• Liu Zheng transformed into a Black Dragon of Chaos and defeated Nie Zhao, but spared him despite suffering severe injuries.
• Ye Lin defeated Wuchen with one sword strike and revealed that he was a Quasi-Saint First Heaven, helping the Heavenward Imperial Dynasty claim first place.
• The dynasties divided the Southern Region, then agreed to march against the Great Frost Imperial Dynasty a month later.

They reached the Myriad Demon Imperial Dynasty’s capital, where Su Tao challenged its defenses and confronted its guardian dragon.

• Ye Lin abandoned his bid for Zhao Wanyi, then traded Zhao Dingding an unidentified pill to take her away and considered her a match for the Spirit King.
• Su Tao led Ye Lin and the others to the Tranquil Heart Imperial Dynasty, where its monks attacked them with the Ten Thousand Buddhas Demon-Slaying Grand Array.

• Su Tao found the golden mountain containing the Myriad Demon Imperial Dynasty’s treasury, destroyed its charging guards, and struck its formation before the guardian dragon confronted him and urged him to leave.
