The Human Race's rise was originally built on accumulated cultivation knowledge. Its senior sages summarized their Law insights for later generations, most notably through the 52 Chaos Tablets and their associated schools of thought. This tradition allowed large numbers of humans to cultivate and helped establish the race as a major universal power 114.

In the era of the Original Ancestor, Yuan, the Human Race was the universe's paramount power. It held fertile territories, including areas formerly associated with the Ancestral God Cult, and faced little challenge from the Demon, Mechanical, or Insectoid Races. Yuan's later suppression forced the race to contract until Giant Axe's breakthrough allowed it to retain its remaining core territories 328.

Earth became a significant Human Race world after Giant Axe discovered that it had been modified at the soul level. Some Earth-born life forms possessed unusually special souls, a quality believed to be connected to the planet's history of producing mental-state geniuses such as Zhou Hao and Luo Feng 153.
