Description:

The item was located by company intelligence officer ■■ at 05:35 on August 17, 1998, Paris time, and was eventually contained and apprehended by the company's USS combat squad.

According to preliminary tests by company researchers, the bird-beak mask, black robe, black gloves, and boots worn by the item all grow directly from the item's body.

The item appears to possess an independent storage space, {see video ① in the supplementary file for details}.

The item possesses high intelligence, the ability to communicate with humans, and a lifespan far exceeding that of a human, {see video ② in the supplementary file for details}.

The company has classified the item as Nyx-class due to its ability to transform humans into aggressive living corpses through "surgical" means.

If left uncontrolled, the item would cause social panic and hinder the company's military operations to contain abnormal phenomena.

Other attributes of the item remain unknown and can only be determined through repeated experimentation using D-class personnel.

Aftermath:

A total of 57 people died due to the item, and 36 survivors witnessed the item and the living corpses. Among them, 7 sustained severe injuries and were required to remain at the headquarters research center for treatment and observation.

The remaining 29 survivors will have their memories modified by the Hive's latest Neuralyzer.

As the city housing Umbrella's headquarters, Paris naturally possesses numerous large-scale, high-investment facilities.

Examples include airports, high-tech industrial zones, university towns, and technology exhibition centers.

Among these, the airport is Umbrella's exclusive military airfield and is the most critical asset for Umbrella in Paris.

The airport runway is 3,600 meters long, housing a large number of medium and heavy transport aircraft, various types of helicopters, and a barracks for elite armed security.

Transport aircraft include the An-124 Ruslan, C-17 Globemaster III, and C-130 Hercules.

Since the UBCS members have not received combat readiness orders, they are not wearing helmets, knee pads, tactical vests, or other equipment.

At this moment, the vast majority of the UBCS members are laughing and joking, with the content of their conversations mostly consisting of vulgar banter about "how much the commission for this mission is" or "which red-light district to visit after the mission ends."

In truth, due to the lockdown orders issued by Sui Bian, no one outside of the Paris Headquarters and the Hive was aware of the deaths of Sergei, Spencer, and the various board members.

The platoon leaders, unaware of the actual situation, along with turncoats like Nicholai who were darting their eyes about, assumed this deployment was a trap.

Just as the platoon leaders and the turncoats were contemplating how to escape their predicament, Sui Bian, dressed in a grey suit jacket and accompanied by four members of Omicron in black suits, walked into the hangar.

Seeing Sui Bian approach, dressed like a high-ranking company executive, the UBCS members, who had been chatting happily, began to lower their voices and cease their private conversations.

Within seconds, the only sounds in the hangar were a few soft coughs, the footsteps of Sui Bian's group of five, and the intermittent roar of engines drifting in from outside the hangar.

The five of them arrived in front of the UBCS members, and the lieutenant, holding a tablet produced by Umbrella Digital, stepped to Sui Bian's side. He unlocked the screen and, while reviewing the content displayed, raised his voice:

"UBCS members who hear their names called, please stand up and depart. After leaving the hangar, please board the C-17 with the tail number UM-006."

As soon as he finished speaking, the lieutenant gave the UBCS members no opportunity to ask questions and continued, "Mikhail Victor, Carlos Oliveira, Tyrell Patrick, Stino Ray..."

Though the named UBCS members were completely bewildered, they still rose from their folding chairs and headed toward the C-17 cabin outside the hangar to wait.
