"Caw! Caw!"
On the branches of the dense rainforest, several brightly colored macaws flapped their wings and cawed.
The ground was damp and muddy, thorny shrubs grew everywhere, and the humidity was oppressive, but the conditions were ideal for plants, animals, and insects.
Suddenly.
The parrots that had been squabbling, along with the birds perched on other branches, stopped what they were doing and turned their heads to stare west.
"Rumble~ rumble!" The roar of helicopter engines came from afar.
"Whup—! Whup—!"
The engines grew louder and louder. Even the air vortices from the rotors sent the trees in the area trembling.
"Chirp! Chirp!" Now the birds were thoroughly startled. They cried out and flapped their wings as they fled.
The scene shifted.
Looking west from above the dense forest, three CH-47D Chinooks carrying enormous cargo containers came into view, flying low over the rainforest in a triangular formation.
The CH-47Ds were painted dark black, and red-and-white umbrella insignias were printed on both sides of their cabins, marking them as belonging to Umbrella.
There were six such formations in total, spread across the Amazon Rainforest in Peru.
Before long, the formation reached the designated drop zone.
They separated and hovered.
They descended.
The cables were cut.
"Boom!" (x3)
The three enormous cargo containers crashed to the ground in free fall.
Having completed their drop-off, the three CH-47s slowly climbed, turned around, and began their return journey.
Soon, the noise of the helicopters gradually faded, and the rainforest grew quiet once more.
But the animals living in the rainforest gathered around the three white containers, seeming curious about the three "uninvited guests."
On a map, this rainforest lay within Peru, but in reality, it was rarely visited—or rather, it was an untouched region no one had ever set foot in.
