Wind whipped through falling snow, rustling as it descended. The world was a canvas of white, and all was deathly silent.

Yet, in this godforsaken place, two figures stood.

"No, Jinchen, what exactly did your teacher ask you to find? I've been trailing you through these Far North Lands for half a month now," Du Busi said, his tone growing impatient.

"Oh, you old fogey, what's the rush? This is a grand opportunity," Xiao Jinchen replied, brushing back his long black hair with an indifferent shrug.

It had to be said that Huo Yuhao's pace was truly sluggish. Xiao Jinchen had been wandering the Far North for half a month specifically to intercept the Ice Empress.

"Hum!"

Just then, a terrifying surge of spiritual power swept out from the core of the Far North, causing the surrounding soul beasts to scatter in a panic.

"Old fogey! That's the place!" Xiao Jinchen's eyes lit up suddenly, his finger pointing toward the source of the spiritual fluctuation.

The scorpion was about a meter and a half long, colored in two shades: the hue of ice and a vibrant, emerald green.

This soul beast was none other than the Ice Empress, ranked second among the Three Great Kings of the Far North!

Du Busi stopped not far from the Ice Empress, his eyes filled with shock.

"Is this what you were looking for?" Du Busi asked, his face full of disbelief. "Jinchen, do you have any idea what this is? This is the Ice Empress, the second-ranked of the Three Great Kings of the Far North!"

"I know perfectly well, and it is my target," Xiao Jinchen replied calmly, waving a hand. "Just follow my lead, old fogey. When have I ever led you astray?"

"Hmm, fair enough," Du Busi nodded. "Even if something goes wrong, I can still get you out of here."

"Eh? Is that a maggot? A maggot condensed from spiritual power?" Du Busi squinted at the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm hovering before the Ice Empress, speaking with surprise.

Just as Du Busi finished speaking, a thin film of white light moved silently along the ground, enveloping the Ice Empress.

Seeing this, Du Busi's pupils constricted. The calm he had just regained surged like a tide once more. What was he seeing? The dignified Ice Empress of the Three Great Kings was actually trapped? And by a maggot using some unknown method, no less.

"She's been trapped by the Remnant Shell," Xiao Jinchen murmured, the corners of his mouth curling upward.

"Bingbing, this isn't the place to talk. I'm taking you somewhere else," the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm said softly, beginning to carry the Ice Empress toward the outer regions of the Far North.

"Old fogey! Follow that white light film!" Xiao Jinchen shouted urgently. Before he could even finish, Du Busi had already caught his meaning and darted toward the shimmering white barrier.

"Old fogey, wait here. Don't go up just yet." Following the white film to the outer reaches of the Far North, Xiao Jinchen finally signaled for Du Busi to stop.

"Jinchen, are you planning to capture this Ice Empress?" Du Busi asked, looking at the nonchalant Xiao Jinchen.

"You guessed right, old fogey, but not just yet," Xiao Jinchen said, a cunning arc forming on his lips.

"A child? How is there a child here?" Du Busi soon spotted a small child standing where the white light film had come to a halt, and he couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

The mental shocks Du Busi had endured in this short time were truly significant: first the appearance of the Ice Empress, then her capture, and now this scene.

Facing Du Busi's confusion, Xiao Jinchen offered no answer, his gaze locked firmly on the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm below, which was busy trying to persuade the Ice Empress.

"Bingbing, stop struggling. You've tried many times; you should know it's useless," the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm said in its characteristically lazy voice.

The Ice Empress replied coldly, "What do you want?"

The Sky Dream Ice Silkworm said gently, "I only want to be with my beloved forever."

"Is this your way of loving me?" the Ice Empress retorted icily.

The Sky Dream Ice Silkworm smiled slightly. "Don't be impatient, just listen to me."

After a period of persuasion from the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm, the Ice Empress seemed to have been swayed.

"Do I have any other choice?" the Ice Empress asked coldly.

"Fine, I agree. Release your spiritual origin. You don't expect me to just let you go like this, do you? Your temper isn't exactly reassuring," the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm said slowly.

"Fine, I'll trust you," the Ice Empress whispered.

Then, her crystal-yellow eyes gradually turned emerald green, and the long, emerald tail of the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion rose once more.

A soft, emerald halo began to ripple from the base of her tail, finally concentrating at the tip of her stinger. With a flash of green light, a small emerald orb separated and floated upward.

The eyes of the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion's main body instantly lost their luster and dimmed.

Indeed, this was her spiritual origin.

"You damn maggot! Let go of my Bingbing!" Seeing the Ice Empress release her spiritual origin, Xiao Jinchen unleashed Three Thousand Lightning Movement, his figure transforming into a streak of blue lightning as he lunged forward.

"Tian Meng! You bastard! You're colluding with a human! This Empress will kill you!" The Ice Empress shrieked. She had never imagined that the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm would conspire with a human to harm her.

Before the Ice Empress could finish, her spiritual origin was already enveloped by Xiao Jinchen's Fallen Heart Flame, then promptly sealed into a jade bottle.

Watching the bottle vibrate, Xiao Jinchen smiled with satisfaction and casually tucked it into his Storage Ring.

"What?" The Sky Dream Ice Silkworm was stunned, then roared in realization, "Ah! My Bingbing! My Bingbing! You damn human, give her back!"

"Ah! Go to hell!" Enraged, Sky Dream Ice Silkworm launched a soul shock directly at Xiao Jinchen. This was a soul shock unleashed using its million-year spiritual origin, held back by nothing.
