Awakening

• Every person awakens a Martial Soul at the age of six during Awakening Day. The ceremony can also reveal innate Soul Power, which is required to cultivate as a Spirit Master. 1 2

• Twin Martial Souls require two Martial Souls of sufficiently close quality to coexist. Forms and Attributes

Martial Souls can manifest as plants, beasts, weapons, or more unusual forms. They are broadly divided into beast Martial Souls, which manifest as living beings, and tool Martial Souls, which manifest as nonliving objects. Their innate attributes influence their combat role, compatibility, and the kinds of Spirit Souls their wielder seeks. 5

Cultivation and Enhancement

Soul Power and Spirit Master Ranks

• Awakening with innate Soul Power permits cultivation; Xu Mengqing initially awakens at level three. 2 3
