The arc left them beginning the highest-difficulty survival test after finding a valley where a Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear and a Three-Eyed Golden Lion had fought.

• Xu Mengqing’s team ambushed a Flame Lion Pack, defeated the lions, and eliminated the surviving Spirit Master captain before cautiously advancing through the Spirit Ascension Platform.
• Xu Mengqing’s group killed the Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear guarding the Intermediate platform, and Xu Mengqing absorbed its Dark Gold Dreadclaw Right Palm Bone.
• Xu Mengqing and Class Zero passed their final exam, traveled to Shrek City, and Xu Mengqing refined Yin Spirit Wood to strengthen his Spiritual Power.
• Tang Wulin broke his second bloodline seal, and Xu Mengqing led Class Zero into Shrek Academy’s entrance assessments.

Class Zero passed Shrek Academy’s entrance assessments and began its first term, where the students faced strict rules, new responsibilities, and a simulated melee to choose their class officers. The contest brought Xu Mengqing’s group into conflict with Luo Guixing’s team and ended with Tang Wulin catching Wu Sidu as the battlefield erupted in ice.

• Xu Mengqing and the others spared the juvenile Three-Eyed Golden Lion, earning full marks on the ninth assessment, and Cai Yue'er admitted all five students to Shrek Academy.
• The students enrolled, toured the academy, and met Zhuo Shi, while Yue Zhengyu’s pursuit of Yuanen Yehui was stopped by a Shrek Law Enforcer.
• Xu Mengqing cultivated with spirit herbs, reached level 40, and gained a third Spirit Ring with Holy Annihilation Dragon Breath and Holy Dragon Gaze.

The Golden Ancient Tree then revealed that Xu Mengqing’s soul had arrived on Douluo Continent ten thousand years earlier, and the Plane Core learned the memories of his past life and the Douluo stories.

• Xu Mengqing and Gu Yuena defeated Luo Guixing’s team and Wu Sidu, while Yang Nianxia withdrew, and Shen Yi later appointed Tang Wulin class monitor with Xu Mengqing and Gu Yuena as joint vice monitors.
• Xu Mengqing arranged a Spirit Pagoda tower challenge with Gu Yuena and Xu Xiaoyan, crafted Soul Guidance Cores, and asked Yang Tian to teach him Forging.
• Xu Mengqing and Gu Yuena bought and contracted many soul beasts, while Gu Yuena secretly ordered Di Tian to deal with the caging and sale of soul beasts.

Xu Mengqing received the Plane Core Fragment, began forging Battle Armor with his team, and entered the Spirit Soul Tower with Gu Yuena and Xu Xiaoyan. He bonded with a Thunder Beast, then helped Xu Xiaoyan find a suitable Spirit Soul as the group continued climbing the tower.

• Elder Tree revealed that the Plane had arranged Xu Mengqing’s encounter with Gu Yuena and passed him a Plane Core Fragment intended to help prevent Tang Hao from controlling the Douluo Plane.
• Elder Tree gave Xu Mengqing a fragment of the Fusang Divine Tree, and Zhuo Shi taught Xu Mengqing and Tang Wulin Dragon Shocking the Heavens.
• Xu Mengqing joined Feng Wuyu as a disciple, then worked with Tang Wulin, Wu Sidu, Luo Guixing, and Gu Yuena to begin forging their Battle Armor components.
