Congealed blood had already stained the ground, forming crisscrossing red lines that painted a brutal picture.
Xiao Hen walked through this human settlement with a grim expression, stepping through pools of blood and looking at the corpses—old and young, male and female alike.
"This village had about a hundred households, but judging by the number of bodies, there are only a few dozen. That means most people were taken. Based on the movie plot, they were definitely captured by the Orcs, used as life energy for Gul'dan, converted into Fel Energy to open the Dark Portal. Hmph!"
Xiao Hen turned back, glanced at the ruined village behind him, pressed his lips together, and resolutely walked away.
Xiao Hen sprinted swiftly through the forest, scanning the ground for tracks as he ran. The Orcs were moving with so many prisoners, they couldn't be fast. Judging by the temperature of the bodies back in the village, this group of Orcs hadn't gone far. He hoped he could catch up.
"Orcs—I'll run into them sooner or later. This time, let me test your strength first!"
Xiao Hen had the Star Chasing Bow for ranged attacks, the Silver Light Sword for close combat, and ten powerful Rocket Projectiles and Grenades in his Storage Space. Facing a squad of Orcs alone didn't scare him.
His heart pounded fast—not from fear or nervousness, but from the thrill of meeting an opponent.
Over a hundred li ahead, another small village had already fallen into flames. Dozens of burly Orcs, riding Black Wolves, were frantically capturing humans. Anyone who dared resist was killed. The human prisoners were tied up with ropes and dragged behind as the Orcs advanced.
The Orcs were too powerful. From the start of the attack to the end, it took only a short while before the entire village was conquered.
The villagers stared at the Orcs in terror. These Orcs stood about three meters tall, with thick, muscular builds. A single punch could destroy a house. The villagers had no strength to resist—they could only be captured.
"You damned beasts! The great king won't let you get away! The mighty guardian will save us, you cursed animals..." A villager cursed the Orcs. But the two races didn't share a language. After he ranted for a while, the Orcs got annoyed and knocked him unconscious with a slap.
"Chieftain, we've captured two human villages—over three hundred people in total. Any more, and we might not be able to keep watch. These little human bugs aren't very obedient!" An Orc approached a burly, three-meter-tall Orc outside the village. This Orc was covered in ornaments made of bones, with fierce tusks.
"Then turn back. Gul'dan must be getting impatient. The sooner we gather enough people, the sooner we welcome the tribe's brothers, and the sooner we conquer this world. This world is so beautiful—it should belong to the tribe!" the Chieftain said in a low voice.
"Right, this land should belong to the Orcs!" The Orc clenched his fists, his eyes bloodshot as he looked around.
Xiao Hen leaped up and landed on a tall tree. Through the gaps in the leaves, he saw another village ahead, also ravaged by the Orcs' cruelty.
"Still didn't catch up?" Xiao Hen frowned, then his eyes swept to the side. "Huh? There!"
His eyes lit up as he spotted a towering green-skinned figure. This green-skinned monster was three meters tall, with a terrifyingly bulky frame, holding a thick wooden club as wide as a bowl. It was chasing a fleeing human youth.
The youth wore a Gray Robe and moved nimbly, dodging the burly Orc's club swings each time. The Orc roared in fury, waved his hand, and a Black Wolf charged from behind. This Black Wolf was much larger than the Silver-Gray Wolf Xiao Hen had seen before—nearly two meters tall and over three meters long, with cold green eyes locked onto the fleeing youth.
"Bite him to death! Bite him to death!" the burly Orc bellowed.
The youth couldn't understand Orcish, but Xiao Hen could—another perk from the Shuttle.
Xiao Hen's eyes sharpened. He leaped down from the treetop, hit the ground, and rolled forward to absorb the impact, then sprinted out. Turning a corner, he saw the terrified youth.
The youth felt the Black Wolf closing in from behind and had already given up hope. But then he saw someone running toward him—a man with black hair and black eyes, lean in build. Facing the Orc and the Black Wolf chasing him, this man stayed calm, not flustered at all. The youth felt an inexplicable sense of relief. Maybe he could be saved?
Xiao Hen flipped his right hand, and the Silver Light Sword appeared. The Star Chasing Bow was useless now—the Black Wolf was too fast, already within a dozen meters. But close combat? He wasn't afraid.
The youth stumbled past Xiao Hen. Xiao Hen grabbed him with his left hand and shoved him behind, then looked up. The massive Black Wolf had already pounced.
Xiao Hen raised his sword and slashed.
Shiiing!
The Silver Light Sword cut through the air with a silver blade of light, swiftly slicing across the Black Wolf's head. The wolf's momentum carried it forward, charging at Xiao Hen. He ducked and rolled to the side. The Black Wolf crashed heavily to the ground, blood seeping from its neck, quickly staining the entire area.
Xiao Hen stood up, glanced calmly at the Black Wolf's corpse, then fixed his gaze on the approaching burly green-skinned Orc.
Roar! The Orc first saw the Black Wolf's corpse, his eyes turning red. He lowered his head and roared at Xiao Hen, then raised his thick club and swung it at Xiao Hen's head.
This Orc was immensely strong—or rather, all Orcs were monsters of brute force. That club coming down, even with Xiao Hen's physique, if it landed solidly, his head would burst like a watermelon.
Xiao Hen raised his sword to meet the attack. The Silver Light Sword clashed with the wooden club.
"Hm?" Xiao Hen's expression shifted. A tremendous force came from the club—a power so terrifying that even his body found it hard to withstand.
"I need to dodge first." Xiao Hen twisted his body and evaded, then swiftly pointed his sword at the Orc.
"Damn little bug, always running!" the burly Orc roared, looking down at Xiao Hen. He stomped the ground, making it tremble, and swung his club again.
The air whistled with the force of the swing—a blow carrying monstrous power.
Xiao Hen stayed calm. My Combat Power should be far above this Orc's. This guy is too tall and bulky, with terrifying strength. From that clash, his Combat Power is probably around fifty. His physique is indeed monstrous. Without sword techniques, my pure physical Combat Power is only thirty-seven. But...
Xiao Hen smiled faintly and murmured, "Right now, I'm holding the Silver Light Sword. My current Combat Power is eighty-seven. So, you're dead."
The moment the words left his mouth, Xiao Hen shot forward. The Orc's club swung down. The two figures collided.
