Seeing the surprise on Ichinose's face put Kushida in a great mood.
An archangel? Hmph! That was what she got for setting her sights on Shinomiya!
"Just a simple guess. I only confirmed it now." Kushida held her bag in both hands in front of herself, her smile innocent.
Ichinose also realized she had been tricked into revealing it.
"Kushida, you have to keep this secret. I'm afraid this could affect Shiranami."

Ichinose gave her a few more instructions, and Kushida accepted every one of them.
The two returned to the dormitory together.

Kushida opened Shinomiya's door directly.
The moment she entered, she saw Shinomiya holding a deck of cards and happily practicing fancy shuffling techniques.

Shinomiya glanced up at Kushida, then continued practicing.
This was completely different from the scene Kushida had imagined: Shinomiya sitting alone on his bed, blankly staring into space.
"Are you okay, Yōha?" Kushida set down her bag and sat beside Shinomiya.
