The next day, Shinomiya rubbed his messy hair, got up, and pulled open the curtains.
Sunlight spilled across the dorm room floor.
Shinomiya did not know how he had gotten back last night. He only remembered that his mind had been a mess.
The feeling had been far too stimulating, completely different from the fleeting brushes of middle school.
It had not gone according to plan, but he could accept it.
A slight smile curved Shinomiya's lips.
"Ah, the sea! Nothing but water!" Yamauchi stood at the edge of the deck with his arms spread wide and shouted.
"If you don't know how to describe it, you don't have to say anything," Kanji Ike reminded him from the side.
"The school sure is generous, taking the entire grade out on a trip," Sudo chimed in.
Shinomiya lounged beneath a parasol, leisurely drinking cola.
The pool on the deck was full of students splashing around.
From afar, it looked like a luxury cruise ship.
It had every kind of facility: luxurious restaurants, high-end spas, free clothing, and more. You could say it had everything.
Apparently, their destination was a small island out at sea, where they would be staying for a week.
Koenji, beside Shinomiya, wore nothing but swim trunks.
He held up a mirror and admired himself.
"Truly beautiful!"
Shinomiya had not planned to get in the water. He was only wearing beach shorts and a sunscreen jacket.
Everyone had gone wild these past few days. There were simply too many activities, and they could not possibly try them all.
Watching the youthful girls in the pool, Shinomiya felt as though he had grown old.
Even though they were all the same age.
The cruise ship provided free swimsuits, so the pool was practically a riot of color.
Still,
