Background / History

Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and possesses the rare combination of Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. Ye Qiong’s disclosures identify him to Bibi Dong as the future figure destined to oppose Spirit Hall, destroy her empire, and ultimately threaten Qian Renxue’s godhood. Bibi Dong consequently dispatches Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo to investigate him in Soto City. 11 12

He arrives in Soto City alongside Xiao Wu and Liu Erlong. At the Rose Hotel, he resists Dai Mubai’s attempt to take their room but is defeated by the difference in their soul-power levels. 12 14

At Shrek Academy, Tang San attempts to organize Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing against Zhao Wuji around his Blue Silver Grass control. The three instead use him as a decoy while executing their own coordinated plan, leaving him exhausted and unconscious after the assessment. 22 23

In the Star Dou Forest, Tang San defeats Meng Yiran in a contest for Oscar’s prospective soul ring and reaches level 30. When the Titan Giant Ape takes Xiao Wu, he disobeys Zhao Wuji’s order to retreat and pursues it alone. 30 31

Later, Spirit Hall discovers him while he is battling a Man Faced Demon Spider. Chrysanthemum Douluo recognizes both his Clear Sky Hammer and Blue Silver Grass, subdues him, and attempts to take him away. Tang Hao intervenes, seriously injuring Chrysanthemum Douluo and rescuing Tang San. 42

Personality

Tang San is highly confident in his own tactical judgment and readily assumes command in group situations. During the Zhao Wuji assessment, he calls himself the core of the team’s strategy and expects the others to follow his positioning plan. 22

He is also intensely protective of Xiao Wu. Her abduction by the Titan Giant Ape drives him to pursue a dangerous hundred-thousand-year soul beast alone, despite his teacher’s objections and the risk to his own life. 31

His decisions draw repeated criticism from the chat group. Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue characterize his decision to expose hidden-weapon trump cards against Zhao Wuji as emotional and reckless, while Ye Qiong portrays his tendency to withhold those methods until a dramatic moment as self-serving. 19
