Only players from the same group could see one another inside.
The first thing Zhang Yi and the others saw upon entering was a cutscene.

Inside the textile mill, a half-bald, middle-aged man with a limp named Lester was speaking to the characters of Zhang Yi and the others.
He then pulled out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to their characters.
After taking the bank card from Lester, he continued.
"Find yourselves a place to live. Get some sleep, then come back and talk to me."
"Before the job, you might want to upgrade your equipment."
"But remember, you'll have to pay this money back."
Listening to Lester's words and considering the game's content, Zhang Yi, Song Ren, and the others had basically figured it out.
This was clearly both a tutorial and a benefit system. Just like paying off a mortgage in Animal Crossing, this was the starting funds Lester had given them.
In the game, ordinary missions did not require any special prerequisites.
However, for things like racing events, supercars, bicycles, motorcycles, or free-for-alls, players needed to own their own vehicles to participate.
Cars stolen off the street clearly did not count.
As for heist missions, players needed to own a base before they could unlock them.
"Holy shit! This is way too realistic. You pay off mortgages in real life, and now you have to rob people to pay off mortgages in a game." Song Ren could not help complaining.
"Old
