"Fang Ran?"
Ye Sheng, carrying her flippers and removing her Diving Mask, lightly brushed back the wine-red hair clinging to her snow-white shoulders. Looking like a mermaid emerging from the water, she gazed at Fang Ran in surprise at seeing him here at this hour, then smiled.
"Why are you here? It's so late. Shouldn't you be resting?"
Throwing her simple diving gear onto the reef, Ye Sheng gathered up her drenched hair and tied it back.
Having just leaped from the sea beneath the faint glow of the Sea of Stars, she wore a black bikini, droplets of water covering her entire body.
Fang Ran felt his face grow slightly hot. He hurriedly looked away toward another stretch of sea and answered with a somewhat flustered, awkward laugh.
"Um... I couldn't sleep, so I came out for a walk. Sister Ye Sheng... why are you here?"
"I came diving. The seabed near this little island the young master found is beautiful."
Drawing out a black skirt from the bracelet formed by her Spirit Abyss and tying it around her waist, Ye Sheng sat on a reef beside him. Her dark eyes watched the beautiful, quiet sea before she turned to ask him,
"Are you nervous?"
"Nervous... haha, I guess I'm just a little uneasy."
Knowing there was no way he could hide it from Ye Sheng, Fang Ran scratched his head and smiled. Against the backdrop of the softly glowing sea, Ye Sheng had tied her wine-red hair into a ponytail.
The strings of her swimsuit were tied across her smooth, snow-white back. The sight was so beautiful that he did not know where to put his eyes.
For some reason, the scene felt strangely familiar.
"No matter how quickly one's strength rises, that doesn't mean one truly has
