I Can Pick Up Anything!

The Land of Fire, Konoha.

The sky had just begun to brighten when Takizawa Dan arrived at the training ground and started his daily workout.

Throwing kunai, kicking wooden posts, practicing footwork...

In no time, he was drenched in sweat and panting.

"In the ninja world, my physical condition is still far too poor..."

He couldn't help sighing.

Thirteen years ago, he had transmigrated to the ninja world and become a newborn baby in Konoha named Takizawa Dan.

His parents had both been ninja, but they died while carrying out a mission not long afterward, leaving him an orphan.

The newcomer was Rock Lee. He was the only one who got up as early as Takizawa Dan to train.

He was also one of the very few people who didn't look down on Takizawa Dan.

"Haha, I'm nowhere near as early as you, Dan! Sometimes I wonder if you even sleep."

Rock Lee laughed, came over, and patted Takizawa Dan on the shoulder. "Dan, you shouldn't push yourself so hard. Your parents died serving the village, so the village will look after you and protect you for the rest of your life."

"I understand, Lee. But I don't want to depend on the village for my whole life. I'm going to become a ninja and make my own way!"

Takizawa Dan said firmly.

Rock Lee paused, then gave Takizawa Dan a thumbs-up. "Good! I believe in you, Dan. You can do it!"

After that, Rock Lee went to an open space nearby and began training.

"Ha! Konoha Whirlwind!"

Crack!!!

Rock Lee swept through a row of wooden posts, snapping them in half and sending splinters flying everywhere!

Takizawa Dan watched with envy.

Unfortunately, his physical condition was too poor. He couldn't even learn Taijutsu.

Suddenly, Takizawa Dan noticed a white shard fall from Rock Lee.

"Lee! You dropped something!" he called out.

"Hm?" Rock Lee stopped and looked around.

"There's nothing here. The ground's bare," Rock Lee said in confusion. "Besides, I never carry anything on me when I train."

Takizawa Dan's heart stirred. He went over to Rock Lee and picked up the white shard.

The shard turned into a streak of white light and shot into Takizawa Dan's mind!

The newcomer was a boy from the Hyuga Clan named Hyuga Niuer. Relying on his Genin status and his clan's influence, he bullied Takizawa Dan every few days.

"Don't talk about Dan like that! Apologize right now!"

Rock Lee stepped forward, ready to stand up for Takizawa Dan.

But Takizawa Dan grabbed him. "Lee, it's fine. I don't care. Don't stoop to his level. It's not worth it."

Thanks to his Kekkei Genkai, Hyuga Niuer was stronger than Rock Lee, a civilian Genin. If they fought, Rock Lee would likely be at a disadvantage!

Besides, Takizawa Dan had heard such taunts for years. He was used to them, his heart as still as water, unmoved.

Hyuga Niuer sneered. "Heh, Rock Lee, you idiot. You think you can stand up for someone? Give it a rest and go find somewhere else to cool off! And here's a word of advice: stop following Might Guy around. Even my teacher says he's an idiot. Stick with him and you'll be a Genin for the rest of your life!"

An overwhelming fighting spirit erupted from Rock Lee!

He roared, "Hyuga Niuer! You can insult me all you want! Say whatever you like about me! But you shouldn't insult my teacher!"

"I'm going to beat you!!!"

Rock Lee seemed to transform into a furious beast as he charged at Hyuga Niuer!

"Konoha Whirlwind!"

"Bring it on! Today, I'll show you that a loser will always be a loser and has no right to act tough!"

Hyuga Niuer laughed disdainfully and rapidly formed Hand Seals.

"Byakugan! Activate!"

"Gentle Fist!"

His arm looked soft and powerless, yet it struck Rock Lee hard enough to send him flying. Rock Lee stumbled backward more than ten steps before managing to steady himself!

"Ugh—"

Rock Lee dropped to one knee and clutched his chest, his face twisted in pain.

His internal organs and chakra pathways were damaged. He had lost the ability to fight!

Even so, Rock Lee gritted his teeth and glared at Hyuga Niuer, refusing to yield!

Hyuga Niuer said as he slowly approached Rock Lee.

Takizawa Dan frowned and stepped in front of him.

Hyuga Niuer froze, then burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, no way! Takizawa Dan, everyone knows you're Konoha's number-one loser, not even qualified to become a ninja. You're challenging me? Are you tired of living?"

Takizawa Dan's expression was cold. He didn't move.

"Fine! If you want to die, I'll grant your wish!"

Hyuga Niuer grinned viciously and raised a palm, bringing it down hard toward the top of Takizawa Dan's head!

"Dan! Move!"

Rock Lee panicked. Hyuga Niuer was trying to kill him. If that blow landed, Takizawa Dan would be crippled at best!

But Takizawa Dan's lips curled into a smile.

His figure blurred as he shifted position like lightning!

Hyuga Niuer's palm struck empty air.
