Background / History

Takizawa Dan transmigrated into the ninja world as a newborn in Konoha. His ninja parents died on a mission shortly afterward, leaving him an orphan. At age three, he was diagnosed with a congenitally frail body and no chakra, leading to his exclusion from the Ninja Academy and years of ridicule from other children. 1

Despite this, Dan trained every day, practicing kunai throwing, footwork, kicks, and strikes in the hope of becoming a ninja. Rock Lee was among the few peers who treated him as an equal and regularly trained alongside him. 1

His life changed when he picked up a fragment dropped by Lee and awakened the Universal Pickup System. The system lets him absorb fragments left by others to gain their abilities, while its activation reward repairs his physical weakness and grants top-tier ninja talent. 1

Dan initially concealed his transformation. After protecting Hyuga Hanabi from Hasu Clan assassins, he arranged for Hanabi to receive public credit for the kills rather than expose his own power. 5 6 His performance during the Chunin Exams eventually made concealment impossible, earning Tsunade's attention and leading to his acceptance as her personal disciple. 13 24 31

He is cautious about attention and political danger. He hid his role in the Hasu Clan incident, deliberately limited what he revealed in the Chunin Exams, and remained wary when summoned by the Hokage because he suspected hidden threats from Anbu and Danzo. 6 15 22

Dan is also calm under pressure, strategic in battle, and willing to exploit advantages such as his clones' independent cooldowns. 9 19 When provoked, he can be sharp-tongued and openly mocks opponents such as Nochi Yoshino. 14
