Only Might Guy had heard what happened and made a special trip over to protect him.
"It's nothing, Teacher Guy," Takizawa Dan said with a smile. Because of Rock Lee, he liked to call Might Guy "Teacher" too. "Mr. Miki just warned me to stay away from his students from now on and not interfere with their training. Then he left. He didn't say anything else."
"Really? He left that easily? That doesn't sound like that annoying guy's usual style!" Might Guy said suspiciously.
"It's true," Takizawa Dan said calmly. "I'm just a useless nobody who isn't even a ninja. If he'd personally taught me a lesson, it would have been beneath him."
At that, Guy's whole face fell. "Dan! I won't let you call yourself useless! Let other people say whatever they want! In your teacher's eyes, you're a genius beyond compare!"
"You have to keep going! Overcome every obstacle and find your own burning youth!!!"
As he spoke, Guy even gave Takizawa Dan his signature thumbs-up, flashing his gleaming White Fang!
