After a long while, the two finally accepted the fact that Lu Yu was unbelievably powerful.
Naruto couldn't help poking Sasuke and whispering:
"Don't you brag about how awesome your brother is all the time? Is he as strong as Lu Yu?"
Sasuke looked at the mountain that had vanished, then up at the cloudless blue sky. He took a deep breath and slowly said:
"Are you kidding? There's no comparison. That guy isn't even human!"
Naruto scratched his head with a silly grin and looked at Sasuke curiously:
"Sasuke, how strong do you think Lu Yu is? Could he be stronger than the old Third Hokage?"
"I don't know. The old man is the strongest in Konoha, but I don't think even he could punch like that."
"Heh, good."
Naruto jumped up excitedly, brushed the dirt off his backside, and glanced at Sasuke:
"What are we waiting for? Isn't having a boss like him enough?"
"But how can this guy be so strong? I can't wrap my head around it." Sasuke looked conflicted.
"Why think about it? Lu Yu won't hurt us. Are you going or not? If you're not, I'm going."
Sasuke nodded in sudden realization:
"Right. Come on. As long as we can get stronger, that's all that matters."
Lu Yu watched the two run toward him and couldn't help letting a smile tug at his lips.
Things seemed to be going smoothly. At least revealing his strength just now hadn't been in vain.
A moment later, the two reached Lu Yu and looked at him expectantly.
Lu Yu cleared his throat and regarded them with a cheerful grin:
"So, made up your minds? To be honest, I don't take on lackeys easily. Not everyone's lucky enough to get the chance."
Naruto sidled up to him with an ingratiating smile:
"I've made up my mind. I'll listen to you from now on. Just tell me what you need me to do, and I'll do it!"
"Good. You've got the right attitude."
Lu Yu nodded in satisfaction, then looked at Sasuke:
"What about you, Sasuke? Have you decided?"
Sasuke turned his head to avoid Lu Yu's gaze and muttered:
"I'm with Naruto."
"Excellent!"
Lu Yu stood up from his reclining chair and looked at them with interest:
"Well, since you've both agreed, shouldn't we change how you address me?"
Naruto's eyes lit up. He caught on right away:
"That's right, Boss Lu Yu!"
"B-Boss Lu Yu." Sasuke found it a little hard to say, but managed it in the end.
"Haha, good, good."
Hearing them say it, Lu Yu couldn't help laughing with delight.

Lu Yu really was a master at grilling fish. Before long, the rich aroma had spread all around, making Naruto and Sasuke swallow hard.
"Boss, that smells amazing..."
Naruto could barely stand it just from the smell. He knew how to grill fish too, but his couldn't compare to Lu Yu's.
Sasuke didn't say a word. His throat just kept bobbing...
A few minutes later, the fish were cooked through. Lu Yu grinned at the two of them:
"Don't just stare. Eat! Dig in!"
The two couldn't hold back any longer. They each grabbed a grilled fish from the rack as fast as they could and took a bite.
The golden-brown fish glistened with a thin sheen of oil, and a rich aroma billowed from its belly.
As their teeth sank into the fish, they even heard a faint crunch. The skin was perfectly crisp, without the slightest hint of burning.
Beneath the crispy skin was tender, juicy flesh, perfectly seasoned all the way through.
After just one bite, their eyes went wide. They didn't even have time to praise it before they had polished off a whole fish in a few bites.
Seeing their reaction, Lu Yu chuckled:
"So, how is it? Pretty good?"
"It's amazing! Seriously, it's incredible! Your grilled fish is the best, Boss!"
Sasuke nodded in agreement and said earnestly:
"This is the best grilled fish I've ever had!"
Lu Yu chuckled:
"Glad you like it. You two, remember: starting tomorrow, you're going to learn how to grill fish. It has to taste exactly like this..."
