Corazon's Long-Held Wish

Corazon said at this moment, "Law will not let you manipulate him, Doflamingo. He was supposed to die three years after contracting Amber Lead Syndrome, but he overcame that fate. He is no longer the person he used to be."

"Law, who charged into the midst of those insane pirates, can gain nothing from a Celestial Dragon as desperate as you. Let him go. He is already free." As Corazon spoke, he rose to his feet.

Trafalgar Law froze when he heard those words, then began to cry. Immediately afterward, he heard gunshots. Doflamingo had fired, shooting Corazon five times in an instant.

Corazon was blasted into the air and crashed into the treasure chest where Trafalgar Law was hiding, sending it rumbling loudly. Trafalgar Law fell to the ground inside, crying and shouting.

Then the Doflamingo Family carried away all the chests on the ground. Through a gap in the wooden chest, Trafalgar Law saw Corazon lying on the ground, covered in blood. He burst into tears and obediently hid himself away.

Corazon had not yet completely died. To protect Law and keep Law's ability from disappearing, he held on desperately. "Not yet. I have to live just a little longer." He took a breath, closed his eyes, and forced himself through sheer willpower not to pass out.

By then, Doflamingo and the others had moved the chests to the shore and set them down. Corazon was still thinking, If I die now, the magic on you will be undone immediately. Your voice and movements will be heard. Run, Law, while no one has noticed yet.

Taking advantage of Doflamingo's officers' inattention, Trafalgar Law climbed out of the chest, fell to the ground, then ran off in another direction.
