"Father!" Rebecca cried out at once.
After seeing this, Diamante smiled, then suddenly charged at Cyrus and shouted, "Cyrus!"
Cyrus had already prepared to defend himself. Diamante's sword shot toward him, but just as it was about to reach Cyrus, its tip suddenly veered toward Rebecca beside him.
Cyrus immediately leaped in front of Rebecca and blocked the attack. By now, he was clearly struggling to catch his breath. Diamante's sword was simply too bizarre, like a white ribbon—so soft and supple, yet incomparably sharp.
Diamante spun his ribbon through the air and said with a smile, "What are you going to do, Toy Soldier?"
Rebecca had realized it by then. "That guy has been targeting me the whole time." Then she said, "Father, I want to fight too!"
"That's right, fight, Rebecca! Let me send you on your way!" Diamante said. In an instant, he thrust at Rebecca again. Cyrus swiftly knocked the sword aside. Diamante said, "I really want to see Cyrus after he loses his wife and child."
Seeing how hard Cyrus was struggling, Rebecca immediately cried, "Father!"
Cyrus steadied himself and said, "It's all right, Rebecca. Let me protect you along with Scarlet's share. Let me make it up to you properly. Teaching you how to fight has left me living in regret and shame. Now that I have regained my human body, I will never let my daughter take up a sword and fight again."
Meanwhile, on the town streets, flames had broken out everywhere. Buildings crashed down onto the citizens in the streets one after another. A woman was fleeing in all directions while holding her young child when a massive stone suddenly fell toward her. In that instant, a burst of fire reduced the stone to fragments.
