Over on Luffy's side, they too screamed as they fell. Luffy was completely terrified by all the water. Wanda shouted, "Hold on tight!" Then the water rapidly surged over them, submerging Luffy and the others. They were battered by the massive torrent, and the entire crocodile was swept away.
After a while, the crocodile gradually steadied itself and began walking through the water, but Luffy was swept away.
Wanda said, "Carrot, go get him back!"
Carrot immediately sprang over, leaping along the branches. "Leave it to me!" She reached out toward Luffy in the water and jumped toward him, shouting, "Straw Hat!"
Luffy suddenly sank beneath the water, failing to grab Carrot's hand.
Just then, Luffy noticed a huge shark biting toward him. He snapped awake, surfaced, and gasped for air, but he was still rushing straight toward the shark's jaws.
Carrot stretched herself into a line, hanging in midair as she shouted, "Watch out!" Then she snatched Luffy away from the crocodile's mouth and flew up to a tall tree, setting him down on a branch.
Carrot asked the drenched Luffy, "Are you okay?"
Straw Hat Luffy panted heavily. "Whew, that was close. Thanks."
Meanwhile, the guards climbing up the elephant's left leg were riding atop a fat cat. One of them said, "It finally stopped. What was that shaking just now?"
Kanjuro said, "I don't know, but this is the crucial part. Keep it up, Nekozaemon!"
The poorly drawn cat, which looked like a puddle of mud, meowed. Kanjuro continued, "Hurry up, the sun's about to set, Nekozaemon!"
