Qi Yan’er won leave to pursue her father’s cave treasure, gathered her companions, and found a map fragment linked to the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame. After reaching the Tagor Desert, she rescued Qing Lin and became involved in the Sand Mercenary Group’s assault on the Mo Tie Mercenary Group.

• Qi Yan’er defeated Ruo Lin with the Fire Phoenix Sword and secured a year of leave to travel with Xiao Xun’er and Xiao Yi Xian.
• Qi Yan’er led her companions to a cave, where they found treasure boxes, the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture, two Dou Skills, and a map fragment Xiao Yan had tried to steal.
• Qi Yan’er joined the map fragments, learned they pointed toward the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame, rewarded the mercenaries, and set out for the Tagor Desert.
• Qi Fan reached Wu Tan City and learned that Qi Yan’er had found her mother and left with her companions for the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
• In Desert City, Qi Yan’er stopped Luo Xiaobu from bullying Qing Lin, and Ling Ying killed Luo Xiaobu and Mo Ran after the Sand Mercenary Group confronted them.
• Qi Yan’er welcomed Qing Lin and invited her to join her family, then led the girls to visit Xiao Ding and Xiao Li at the Mo Tie Mercenary Group headquarters.
• Fei Li told Qi Yan’er and her companions that the Sand Mercenary Group had gained powerful fighters and was besieging the Mo Tie Mercenary Group, while Luo Bu attacked Xiao Li.

Qi Yan'er followed Queen Medusa’s aura into the Tagor Desert, where she subdued the Green Lotus Core Flame and drew Medusa’s attention. Medusa took Qi Yan'er toward the Snake-People Race while Xiao Xun'er, Xiao Yi Xian, and Qing Lin returned to Desert City, where the threat of war emerged.

• Qi Yan'er and her companions entered the magma cavern, where she drew out the Two-Headed Fire Spirit Snake and Qing Lin’s Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils made it her master.
• The group reached the Green Lotus Core Flame, and Queen Medusa emerged before Qi Yan'er called her Mommy, though Medusa denied being her mother.
• Qi Yan'er and Xiao Xun'er attacked the lotus’s roots while Queen Medusa and Ling Ying fought the flame’s guardians, and Qi Yan'er cut the lotus root with her jade knife.
• Qi Yan'er swallowed the Green Lotus Core Flame and, with help from Qi Fan’s Blood Lotus Bodyguard Liquid and Ice Spirit Cold Spring, absorbed it and advanced to Eight Star Great Dou Shi.
• Queen Medusa defeated Ling Ying, seized Qi Yan'er, and carried her toward the Snake-People Race, promising to reveal her mother’s identity if she joined them.

Qi Yan'er joined Queen Medusa in the Snake-People capital, where she helped Medusa begin evolving with two Heavenly Flames while fending off Gu He’s invasion. The conflict exposed the truth about Qi Yan’er’s mother and ended with Han Feng confronting Yao Chen over the Flame Mantra and Bone Spirit Cold Fire.

• Queen Medusa brought Qi Yan'er to the royal city, where the Four Great Elders learned of her royal bloodline and heard that she was the next Queen.
• Qi Yan'er revealed that her father had given her a pill that could temporarily raise her strength, then helped Queen Medusa begin evolving with the Green Lotus Core Flame and Bone Spirit Cold Fire.
• Qi Yan'er impersonated the evolving Queen to stall Gu He’s party, but the confrontation revealed that she was the Snake-People Race’s next Queen and that her mother, butterfly, had died.
• Qi Yan'er learned from Hai Bo Dong that Yan Ci had killed butterfly, then confronted him as the Elders defended him and the battle for the royal city spread.
• Qi Yan'er defeated Jia Xing Tian and hurried toward the forbidden island as Gu He and Xiao Yan approached Queen Medusa’s evolution site.

Queen Medusa survived her evolution as a Dou Zong, defeated Han Feng, and revealed that Qi Yan’er was her daughter while the Jade Pendant raised hope that Die was still alive. After Qi Yan’er’s explosive breakthrough and letter to her father, Qi Fan saved Nalan Jie by absorbing much of his Luo Poison and Dou Qi.

• Yao Chen empowered Xiao Yan to fight Han Feng while Qi Yan’er returned to find Queen Medusa seemingly dead after her evolution.
• Queen Medusa emerged as a Seven-Colored Sky Swallowing Python, then regained her form as a Dou Zong and defeated Han Feng while their allies battled his forces.
• Queen Medusa confronted Yun Shan over the Jade Pendant, and Qi Yan’er recognized it as the heirloom her father treasured.
• Queen Medusa claimed Qi Yan’er as her daughter, and Yao Chen suggested that Die’s soul might be inside the pendant.
