Half an hour passed quickly. The official opened Gate 40 in front of Yin Xiang, and at Anko's command, Yin Xiang walked in slowly. Everyone else had rushed in directly, knowing that the further ahead they were, the greater their advantage.

"Flying Thunder God." Yin Xiang held up two fingers in front of the official and vanished from his sight.

"Sp... space-time ninjutsu?" The official was filled with shock at the sight.

Yin Xiang appeared directly behind a ninja, his hand driving a Chidori through the man's heart.

"What!" The two remaining ninjas were startled. Where had this guy suddenly popped out from?

All three of them were Waterfall Ninja.

"Sorry, your luck isn't very good." Yin Xiang stood up from the ground, leaving behind the ninja he had already marked.

"Damn it! How dare you look down on us!" The two Waterfall Ninja grabbed their kunai and charged at Yin Xiang from two directions.

"Lightning Style." Two kunai slid from the sleeves of Yin Xiang's left and right hands. They flew out with lightning speed, piercing through the heads of the two men to their utter shock.

Afterward, Yin Xiang searched their bodies, found a Scroll of Heaven, and scavenged some Military Ration Pills and explosive tags. He took a few of their kunai, and the beginning had only just begun.

"Ah!!!" A scream echoed through the forest. Yin Xiang looked toward the sound and smiled. "If it weren't for Orochimaru being here, this exam would certainly be interesting for me."

That scream had come from Kiba's team, who had used the forest's blood-sucking worms to kill a team of ninjas.

Naruto's side had also begun to fight. Their opponents were Rain Ninja, but there was only one, and he was quickly beaten back by Sasuke and his team. However, they would soon be hunted down by Orochimaru.

Yin Xiang quickly ran toward the center of the forest, preparing to take out another team. If he wanted to balance the teams, he would have to eliminate three: the first two to obtain scrolls, and the third to replace that team himself.

Yin Xiang soon approached another group—a team of Grass Ninja. The three seemed to have noticed him approaching and turned around, leaping backward. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" All three of them used the technique against him simultaneously.

Poof!

The Yin Xiang hit by the Great Breakthrough turned into a log and vanished before their eyes.

"Shadow Secret Technique." Yin Xiang was behind a tree, attempting to use the technique, but nothing happened. "Forgot I'm in a dense forest; the shadows won't manifest." He shook his head.

"Flying Thunder God." Yin Xiang turned around and imbued his Flying Thunder God kunai with Lightning Style. The kunai reached their feet in an instant; they had only just caught sight of the weapon when Yin Xiang arrived right in front of them.

"What!" The three ninjas' pupils dilated as they scrambled backward, but one was already too late. Yin Xiang grabbed him by the collar. "Rasengan."

Yin Xiang's Rasengan struck the man's abdomen directly. He spat out a mouthful of blood and flew backward, a scroll falling from his robes. Yin Xiang reached out and caught it.

"Not bad luck; it's a Scroll of Earth." Yin Xiang smiled and tucked the scroll into his ninja pouch. The two surviving ninjas looked at their fallen comrade, then guarded against Yin Xiang with wary eyes.

"I have the scroll, so I won't attack you. Leave." Yin Xiang sat on the tree trunk beneath his feet and looked down at the two ninjas.

The two genin exchanged glances and immediately fled. They could tell they were no match for Yin Xiang.

"Go on, live out your remaining five days in misery." Yin Xiang watched their retreating backs, his lips curling slightly. With one teammate dead, they could no longer complete the exam, as the rules required the entire team to arrive.

"However..." Yin Xiang's smile quickly faded. "What about Naruto?" He sat in the tree, his eyes filled with worry.

Swish!

The sound of air being sliced rang in Yin Xiang's ears. He immediately leaped from his position as three kunai embedded themselves into the trunk. Standing on another tree, he looked at the three people approaching from behind—Hidden Sand ninjas.

"Hand over the scrolls, and we'll spare your life." The three landed in three directions, surrounding Yin Xiang. In their eyes, it was three against one; Yin Xiang had no room to fight back.

"Delivering yourselves to me? That works too." Yin Xiang pulled two scrolls from his pouch. "You want them? Come and get them."

"He actually has two! That saves us a lot of trouble!" one of the ninjas laughed, leaping toward Yin Xiang with a kunai in hand. He swung down, but Yin Xiang's figure vanished before his eyes.

"Such a fast Body Flicker! Where is he?" The attacking ninja's pupils dilated as he searched for Yin Xiang. When he finally spotted him, Yin Xiang's kunai was pressed against his teammate's throat. "Move an inch, and I'll slit his throat." Yin Xiang squinted and smiled, a look that made their skin crawl.

Cold sweat broke out on the ninja under Yin Xiang's blade.

"D-don't... don't do that. We'll give you our scrolls, just let him go," the ninja who had attacked him said.

"Oh? Did you forget? I already have two scrolls." Yin Xiang maintained his smile.

"Then what do you want!" the other ninja shouted. "I just want you all to stay still," Yin Xiang laughed.

"Fine, fine, we won't move..." the two ninjas said hurriedly.

A moment later, Yin Xiang spoke again. "You know, even if you don't move, I'm still going to kill him. If you want to blame someone, blame yourselves for bothering me in the first place." As his words fell, he vanished. A thin line appeared on the throat of the man he had been holding, blood sprayed out, and he collapsed stiffly to the ground.

As for Yin Xiang, to look cool, he used the Flying Thunder God again, appearing beside the corpse he had marked earlier.

"Used the Flying Thunder God three times, but I don't feel much drain. My chakra has grown again." Yin Xiang sensed his chakra and felt satisfied, though he still swallowed a Military Ration Pill just in case.
