On the tenth day after Charlotte occupied Dubrovnik, a proper beastman army appeared outside the city.
Leading them was an elephant person, who growled in a low, furious voice. Most of his troops were elephant people as well, along with some other beastmen. Strangely, however, none of them were aggressive beastmen. They looked frightened and ragged.
Standing beneath the city walls, the elephant person roared, "I am Agon! Overlord of the elephant people! Give us food. We are returning to the Southern Continent."
Charlotte glanced at the beastmen and found them rather strange. He called out, "Are you Non-Cannibals?"
Agon let out a roar and shouted, "I am a Non-Cannibal. I am tired of war. I want to return to the Southern Continent."
Charlotte waved a hand and called, "Enter the city!"
Elephant Person Agon led his people into the city. His beastman army numbered six or seven thousand. Once everyone had entered, Charlotte gave the order. Two Saint Ranks slowly rose into the air, while twenty thousand Labyrinth Guardians and five thousand soldiers of the Westwind Knight Order seized advantageous positions and raised their rifles, their black muzzles aimed at the beastmen.
Agon had already been in a foul mood, and now he became even more enraged. He shouted, "Despicable! Are you people of Emisfida, the Black Dragon, or Qiudro?"
Charlotte said, "We are humans and beastmen who believe in the Non-Cannibals!"
Agon suppressed his temper somewhat and said, "We are Non-Cannibals too. Let us leave and give us food. We do not want to fight."
Charlotte shook his head and said, "The Non-Cannibals must unite. Either you fight and die to the last man, or you join us and build the best life together."
