Menilman and Princess Mei had both thought Charlotte would choose "her." Menilman reached out and pressed a hand onto Red Eagle's shoulder. "Let me have this round!"
Just as Red Eagle was about to resist, another hand pressed down on her other shoulder. Princess Mei's quiet voice drifted into her ear. "Menilman is right."
Charlotte could only say, "Lady Red Eagle, stay behind for now!"
He glanced at Agon and said, "Agon, please stay behind as well."
The Saint Ranks of the New Continent Council could barely hold back their laughter. This meeting was far too entertaining—they had actually gotten to witness Duke Mecklen's harem conflict.
