Charlotte had learned the origins of this Evil God from Domitian the leopardman. It was the Evil God Gompas! A monster like a ball of flesh, covered in countless tentacles and dozens of kilometers long. Most importantly, it could fly, making it extremely troublesome.
Charlotte wanted to lure it out. As long as it left its territory, it would be much easier to deal with. But this Evil God seemed rooted within its domain and refused to move.
After trying several times, Charlotte had no choice but to give up and switch to another Evil God.
This time, before the war had even begun, new weapons arrived from Mecklenburg.
With the Dead Sea Scrolls bestowed by the Old Man with the Lamp, the protection of the Serpent of Destiny, the wisdom of ancient alchemists from an entire Great Emerald Library, and Charlotte's full support, these newly forged weapons could be called miracles born from the combined power of two True Gods.
They somewhat resembled Centurions, except their lower halves were not alchemical mechanical horses but alchemical spiders. Their upper halves still had shields mounted in front, with passenger compartments behind. Thanks to the alchemical spider structure, their bodies were much broader and possessed a certain carrying capacity, allowing them to be fitted with more weapons.
A faint glow covered these weapons. It was not a Magic Array; current Old Continent alchemical technology could not make Magic Arrays so small, nor could anyone below Saint Rank activate one alone. It was a force field emitted by fragments of an Evil God's soul. Though its nature differed, its function was the same: it served as a defensive Magic Array.
Due to technical limitations, only a limited number of Evil God soul fragments could be implanted. Its protection was slightly weaker than that
