History

Uchiha Clan aftermath

Following the annihilation of the Uchiha Clan, Sasuke returns to an empty compound and hardens his resolve to pursue revenge. He reunites with Mikoto and Izumi at the Senju Clan compound, while the truth of Itachi’s actions is deliberately withheld from him. 78

Chunin Exams

During the Forest of Death, Sasuke exposes Orochimaru’s impostor and later faces Orochimaru directly. Orochimaru’s killing intent initially leaves him paralyzed with fear, but Sasuke overcomes it, attacks with Sharingan-guided shuriken and Dragon Flame Jutsu, and becomes Orochimaru’s chosen target. Defection and Orochimaru

Sasuke’s need for revenge and resentment over Naruto’s growth lead him to seek Orochimaru’s power.
