Saying something like that in front of Uchiha Kurohane made Kushina Uzumaki feel incredibly embarrassed.

Kushina's face twisted with anger, and she wanted nothing more than to kick Uzumaki Mito in the butt and send her flying.

Seeing Kushina's furious expression, Mito worried that she had pushed her too far. If she embarrassed her into running away, that would only ruin things.

She stopped while she was ahead and left with a chuckle.

After watching her walk away, Kushina gave an angry huff before finally sitting down.

"Kurohane, don't listen to Granny's nonsense. Because she's a Jinchuriki, she's forbidden from leaving this forest. She stays home alone with no one to talk to, and she's lived in loneliness for more than a decade."

"Her personality has become really strange. She often says random things..."

Uchiha Kurohane raised his fist and gave Kushina a knock on the head.

"You're wrong to say that. She's your elder, so you should respect her. And since you know she has no one to talk to, you should keep her company more instead of driving her away."

"Besides, she made this meal for us. You should be grateful to her."

Kushina already liked Mito very much, so after being scolded by Kurohane, she did not feel upset. Instead, she felt that Kurohane was wonderful for thinking that way.

He really is the finest man I've ever met!

In truth, after her homeland and clan had been wiped out, Kushina had been just as lonely inside as Mito.

Kurohane's concern for Mito made Kushina feel the same way.

A wave of sweetness rose in her heart, and her gaze at Kurohane was filled with fascination.

The two chatted and laughed as they ate. Half an hour later, they had finished the
