After the carriage came to a stop, Nalant offered his assessment of today's wild dash across the wilderness, then opened the door and climbed down to inspect the carriage's condition.

But before he could call for the two dwarves to get out and take a look, they had already scrambled down ahead of him and rushed to the roadside.

This carriage truly was worthy of dwarven craftsmanship. Some of its core sections were joined with metals mixed with mithril, so even tearing along dirt roads as they had earlier posed no problem at all.

Once he had confirmed that the carriage was in perfect condition, Nalant led them back aboard.

Since he had promised the two dwarves beforehand, Nalant did not race wildly as before on this journey. Instead, he began the return trip at an ordinary carriage's pace.

On the road back, seeing that Nalant had no intention of continuing his mad dash, the two dwarves' complexions finally improved considerably.

Nalant then took four prepared jugs of grape wine from his space ring and handed them over.

"Black Tower, Ram, this is your payment for this trip!"
