The second method was to lure the Magic Beasts in the forest over and have them charge the Beastfolk battle formations. If it succeeded, it would surely inflict considerable damage on the Beastfolk.
With beast-luring potions available, Nalant felt this method was feasible. The only question was whether he could attract enough Magic Beasts in the end.
The final method was to rely on Annie's lightning power.
Annie's lightning power was incredibly strong. Even a Gold Knight would be done for if struck by lightning a few more times.
Unfortunately, Annie's talent power was but a drop in the ocean against a Beastfolk army numbering tens of thousands. Otherwise, Nalant would not have needed to think so much—he could have simply had Annie unleash an enormous lightning storm and finish off all these Beastfolk.
Since Annie's talent power was limited, why had Nalant included her lightning in this plan to fight the Beastfolk?
It was because Nalant had figured that if there was not enough lightning, he would make up for it with technology.
Nalant planned to find a low-lying area and lay dense copper wires across the ground. Once the wires were in place, he would have Annie manipulate the weather and bring down a great deal of rain first.
The rainwater would cover the copper wires. Then, when the two came together and the Beastfolk entered the low-lying area, Nalant would have Annie call down lightning.
With the copper wires conducting and amplifying it, the lightning would be able to form a far wider range of attack.
It might be less effective against the Minotaurs, but it would certainly work against Beastfolk from smaller tribes, and even the Crocodilefolk who had yet to reach Gold Knight rank.
With all three ideas settled, Nalant did not delay and immediately
