However, Commander Kado was, after all, a seasoned veteran of countless battles.
Nalant's sword had clearly been aimed at his neck. Yet at the final moment between life and death, Commander Kado immediately raised his shoulder, using his pauldron to block it.
Nalant's longsword split open the pauldron and sank deep into his shoulder blade.
"Roar!"
In an instant, the pain-stricken Commander Kado let out an enraged roar. His eyes bloodshot, he swung his blade at Nalant without hesitation.
Seeing this, Nalant swiftly took a step back, narrowly evading Commander Kado's strike.
And when Commander Kado saw Nalant retreat, he immediately spun around and fled.
"Damn it, he's not dead even after that!"
Looking at the wound over ten centimeters deep, Nalant could not help marveling at the orcs' powerful physique.
However, though Commander Kado was not dead yet, he had still been severely wounded.
His left shoulder was already completely useless, his arm hanging limply from it.
"Little Bear, chase him! Don't let him get away!"
Seeing this, Nalant immediately called for Little Bear to pursue him.
"Stop that human brat for me!"
Badly wounded, Kado grew anxious when he saw Nalant relentlessly chasing after him. Without hesitation, he dragged over a group of subordinates along the way and ordered them to block Nalant.
"Yes, Commander Kado!"
The orc subordinates did not dare disobey and rushed toward Nalant.
But against the combination of Nalant and Little Bear, these fellows were no match for Nalant at all.
With Dragon Fang in hand, Nalant needed only a swing of his sword to reap an orc's life.
Seeing this, Commander Kado knew he would never escape through this puddled area, so he immediately fled toward the nearest woods to the side, hoping to use the forest's tangled terrain to evade Nalant's pursuit.
